APPEAL: Will you help us save Bing? 🚨💔 Bing is just a puppy. He should be discovering the world, playing with his toys and growing up surrounded by love. Instead, he’s already endured more pain and hardship than any puppy ever should. Bing was thrown out onto the streets of Penang Island like trash, left to fend for himself in a dangerous and unfamiliar world. And sadly, his suffering didn’t end there. Whilst fighting to survive, Bing sustained a painful hip dislocation that required surgery, leaving him facing a long road to recovery. Thankfully, little Bing is now safe with our team and has begun his rehabilitation, taking tiny steps towards healing and the hope of walking independently again. Despite everything he’s been through, his gentle, playful personality is still shining through. But Bing can't do this alone 💔 He has no family to hold him close or a safe home to return to. What he does have is a chance at a brighter future, but we need your help to make that a reality for him. Will you sponsor Bing and support his ongoing treatment, rehabilitation and care, giving this brave little boy the opportunity to grow up safe, loved and free from pain? 🙏🏼 HOW TO DONATE: 📝 Bing's donation form: bit.ly/iapwa-bing 💰 IAPWA PayPal: paypal.me/iapwa Thank you for caring about dogs like Bing ❤️

Happy 9th Anniversary to our IAPWA Penang teammates 🐶🎉 Nine years ago, IAPWA Penang set out to change the future for stray dogs and build a truly humane path forward. Today, we're celebrating the amazing impact the team there have made: 🐾 Zero dogs killed on Penang Island since March 2018 💉 Nearly 9,000 dogs neutered through our Trap, Neuter, Release / Rehome (TNR) programme 🏡 Over 1,200 dogs rehomed into loving families Seeing these results shows just how powerful humane dog population management really is. Every single one of those numbers represents a life saved and a second chance given. A huge congratulations and thank you to the dedicated IAPWA Penang team, and to every supporter who has backed this work along the way. Here’s to many more years of changing lives ✨

There’s nothing quite like the moment a street dog finds their forever home 🏡❤️ Through our projects and partnerships, almost 1,750 dogs have found loving homes and the chance of a brighter future. Every single adoption represents a life changed and reminds us why this work matters so much. These little ones are hoping to be next. Please wish them lots of luck at our next adoption event on Penang Island. We’re keeping our fingers and paws crossed that they’ll soon be heading home with families of their own 🤞🏼

An update from little Sabine ✨ Sabine was rescued from the streets of Tangier struggling to walk on her back legs, with X-rays revealing that her bones had fused together. She's now recovering well and enjoying life at the sanctuary, where she's made lots of furry friends, including Fatty the cat, fellow patient Fluffy, and gentle giant Daboza. She's such a happy little girl, and it's lovely to see her enjoying life surrounded by friends! Unfortunately, Sabine recently had a bit of a setback when she developed vomiting and diarrhoea. The team feared the worst, but thankfully, it turns out cheeky Sabine had simply eaten something she shouldn't have. She's already on the mend with medication and a special gastrointestinal diet 💊 This sweet pup still needs sponsors to help cover the cost of her ongoing treatment and care. Will you be there for Sabine when she doesn't have a family of her own to turn to? 🙏🏼 HOW TO DONATE: 📝 Sabine's donation form: bit.ly/iapwa-sabine 💰 PayPal: paypal.me/iapwa Thank you for caring about Sabine, and a huge thank you to our amazing friends at SFT for everything they do for animals in Tangier ❤️

APPEAL: Will you help with Sassy’s palliative care? 🐕❤️‍🩹 Many of you will remember Sassy, who has been in the care of our IAPWA Penang team for the past five years. When she came to us, she was already facing several health challenges, including blindness in one eye after someone poured Dettol into it, high blood pressure and a tumour. As an older dog with complex medical needs, finding her a home was never going to be easy. So we made her a promise... she would always have a safe place with us 🏡 Recently, we received the devastating news that this old girl has an aggressive form of cancer called hemangiosarcoma. Her prognosis is poor, and while we cannot change what lies ahead, we can make sure that the time she has left is as comfortable and happy as possible. Sassy is now receiving palliative care, with our dedicated team and vets working hard to manage her symptoms, ease her discomfort and help her continue enjoying the little things that make her happy. And if there’s one thing Sassy still loves, it’s her treats! We want to give Sassy the very best quality of life for however long she has left, but her ongoing care comes with significant costs, including medication, veterinary treatment and close monitoring. Will you help us give Sassy the comfort and care she deserves for every day she has left with us? Your donation will help cover the costs of Sassy’s palliative care, ensuring she can continue to enjoy her favourite treats, feel safe and be surrounded by the people who love her until her time comes to cross the rainbow bridge 🌈 She may not have forever, but she has today. And today, she is loved and happy. HOW TO DONATE: 📝 Sassy's donation form: bit.ly/iapwa-sassy 💰 PayPal: paypal.me/iapwa Please donate if you can to help us make every remaining day count for Sassy ❤️

We're heartbroken for Jordy 💔 Many of you will remember little Jordy, who was found fighting for his life near our IAPWA Penang centre many months ago. He was suffering from a broken jaw, severe dehydration, a secondary respiratory tract infection and FIV. Jordy had been recovering well from surgery in his foster home, but we've recently discovered that his jaw has become misaligned again, most likely due to poor healing linked to his FIV. We're so sad to see Jordy take a step backwards after making so much progress, but we're not giving up on this brave little cat. He deserves the chance of a happy, pain-free future, and we'll do everything we can to help him get there. Jordy desperately needs sponsors to help cover his extensive treatment and ongoing care. Can you find it in your heart to support him on his road to recovery? 🙏🏼 HOW TO DONATE: 💜 Jordy's JustGiving page: justgiving.com/campaign/iapw… 💰 PayPal: paypal.me/iapwa Thank you for caring ❤

Simba was born on the streets of Penang Island, desperately trying to survive alongside his mamma and sister 💔 After coming into the care of our IAPWA Penang team, this sweet boy was then adopted not once, but twice, only to be returned both times through no fault of his own. But Simba never gave up hope. And now, as an older pup, he’s finally landed on his paws in the most amazing forever home, where he’ll spend the rest of his life surrounded by a loving family who adore him. We couldn’t be happier for this very special boy 🥹 Please help us create more happy endings for street dogs like Simba by becoming an IAPWA monthly donor today: bit.ly/iapwa-RG ❤

A year ago, Mike was a street dog with no idea what his future would hold. Today, he has a loving home, a family to call his own, and someone to wait by the door for 🏡❤️ Mike came into the care of our IAPWA Penang team through their humane Trap-Neuter-Release/Re-home programme, which gave him the chance of a new life away from the streets. He then went on to find the most wonderful forever home. Now, one year later, on his ‘Gotcha Day’, his family has shared the sweetest update with our IAPWA Penang team. Mike is doing amazingly, and when his favourite person is away, he waits patiently by the door for them to come home 🥹 A dog who once had nowhere to belong now knows exactly where he belongs, and that he is loved. Please help us change the future for more dogs like Mike by becoming an IAPWA monthly donor today: bit.ly/iapwa-RG ✨

APPEAL: Will you be there for little Sabine? 🚨💔 This sweet little girl was rescued from the streets of Tangier, struggling to walk on her back legs. She was frightened, vulnerable and in desperate need of help. She was rushed straight to the SFT clinic, where tests and X-rays revealed that the bones in her leg had fused. We can only imagine how scared Sabine must have been. Yet despite everything she had been through, this little puppy trusted the team completely. She knew she was finally safe 🥺 Now, Sabine faces an uncertain future. The team will be watching her closely as she recovers, but there is a possibility that she may eventually need a wheelchair to help her get around. If so, she’ll become one of SFT’s very special ‘Wheelie Babies’ 🐾 But whatever the future holds, one thing is certain... Sabine needs your help now. This little girl needs sponsors to support her medication, treatment, care and vaccinations, as well as any additional support she may need in the future, including a wheelchair 🥺 She has already been through so much. Now she needs people willing to stand beside her as she learns to navigate a whole new world at the sanctuary. Will you help us give Sabine the care she so desperately needs? HOW TO DONATE: 📝 Sabine's donation form: bit.ly/iapwa-sabine 💰 PayPal: paypal.me/iapwa Thank you for caring about this precious little girl ❤️

MYTH: The only way to help stray dogs is to find them forever homes 🏡🐶 FACT: Adoption can give an individual stray dog a wonderful second chance at life, but it’s only one part of the solution. When it comes to tackling stray dog populations, we also need to look at WHY so many dogs are ending up on the streets in the first place, and what we can do to help break that cycle 💔 That means tackling the root causes of the problem, while also providing the veterinary care, community engagement and education, and humane dog population management programmes needed to improve the lives of the dogs already living on the streets. Most importantly, running humane neutering programmes can help prevent unwanted litters from being born into lives of suffering. Because while finding a home for one dog changes that dog’s life for the better, preventing unwanted puppies from being born can help break the cycle for generations of dogs to come. That’s why humane, sustainable dog population management is at the heart of so much of our work. There’s no single solution to the global stray dog crisis. But by looking beyond individual dogs and tackling the root causes of the problem, we can create lasting change for animals and the communities they live in ❤️

From heartbreak and neglect to GLAMPING with her wonderful family! 🥹❤️🏕️ It’s hard to imagine that once upon a time, Neko was a terrified and anxious little dog with a broken hip and severely matted fur, who was underweight and suffering from skin and ear infections and tick fever as a result of severe neglect. She absolutely hit the jackpot with her amazing forever family, and last week she went on her very first glamping adventure! 🐕🐾 We think it’s safe to say that this once-scared little girl is now living her BEST life! ✨ If you’d like to help create more happy endings like Neko’s, one of the easiest ways to make a difference is by becoming an IAPWA monthly donor today: bit.ly/iapwa-RG Thank you for helping us change Neko’s life and for being there for all of the other dogs who need us ❤️

Sweet Burns continues to get better ❤️‍🩹 We have another lovely update to share about brave girl Burns 🥰 Her treatment continues to go well, and her wounds are gradually getting smaller as she heals. After everything this sweet girl has endured, it’s so encouraging to see her making steady progress. Burns was rescued from the streets of Tangier after a cruel member of the public deliberately burned her and left her with severe injuries. Thankfully, she is now getting stronger every day. Burns still has a little way to go, but the best part is that her happy future is already waiting for her. She has a forever home secured in the Netherlands, and we can’t wait for the day she is well enough to make the journey and start her new life 🏡 Until then, Burns will continue to need veterinary care and support as she recovers and grows in confidence. Please consider donating towards Burns’ ongoing treatment and helping us get this lovely girl one step closer to her forever home 👇🏽 bit.ly/iapwa-burns

Brave Paco needs your support again ❤️‍🩹 Remember lovely Paco? After surviving a horrific hit-and-run that left him with a shattered pelvis, broken vertebrae and a broken leg, this brave boy has come such a long way. Paco recovered well from his initial injuries and was finally enjoying some much happier days. But recently, the SFT team became concerned when he became very unwell and lost a significant amount of weight in a short space of time. The vet suspected an intestinal problem, so Paco underwent further investigations, including X-rays to rule out complications such as a mass. Thankfully, nothing like this was found, and after starting treatment and medication, Paco is now feeling much more like himself again 🥰 We’re so happy to see this lovely boy improving and eating well again, but Paco still needs continued monitoring and care while the team work to get his weight and strength back up. He may also need further treatment for his leg, which is still causing him some problems. After everything Paco has been through, he deserves every chance to keep moving forward and enjoying the happy life he fought so hard to reach. Please consider sponsoring Paco or making a donation towards his ongoing treatment. Your support means we can continue being there for him, whatever he needs next 👇🏽 bit.ly/iapwa-paco

These best friends are loving life in their forever home 🥺🤎 We have a lovely update to share on two very special IAPWA patients – Brownie and Phoebe. After being cruelly abandoned on Penang Island and run over by a car, Brownie was left with two broken legs. Phoebe, meanwhile, was rescued after being horribly abused as a puppy when boiling water was thrown over her. Both have been through more than any dog should, but today, their lives couldn't look more different ✨ The pair are now best friends, enjoying life together in their wonderful forever home. They spend their days playing in the garden, chasing each other around and making the most of every moment together! Seeing Brownie and Phoebe so happy, healthy and carefree is a beautiful reminder of just how much can change when a dog is given the love and second chances they deserve. If you'd like to help us create more happy endings like Phoebe and Brownie's, the easiest way to do this is by becoming an IAPWA monthly donor today: bit.ly/iapwa-RG ❤
