My Salford gangster novel, "Barbary Coast" is now on Amazon. It's a hardback so you can use it as a step-stool around the home. A cracking read! amazon.co.uk/dp/1915616395
Someone should invent a fridge that doesn't have to be connected to the internet. I bet they'd make a fortune.
Hypothetical scenario;
For argument sake, letβs say United do get relegated?
Turnover collapsed from Β£800m to Β£300m, suddenly Β£78m per year interest payments become a very very serious problem.
No Premier League broadcasting revenue, no Champions League money, no tourists just die hards Old Trafford some weeks is half empty, meaning ticket prices drop drastically- coupled with a wage bill approaching Β£6m a week, donβt forget the historic players and manager payments and hundreds of millions in debt still needing servicing.
The share price would likely collapse, investors would be dumping stock and the clubβs valuation could fall below its liabilities. Youβre now looking at a potential negative equity situation, serious cash flow problems and financial regulations becoming increasingly difficult to comply with.
That would focus the Glazersβ minds very fucking quickly. Their entire model depends on revenue growth, borrowing and the value of the asset.
Take those away and suddenly theyβre having to find actual money to keep the thing afloat.
And unlike Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour, they havenβt got the personal liquidity to bankroll a league 1 football club let alone one the size of United
The Glazers are essentially the American version of that woman at number 7, who owes Klarna Β£2k, has done for six years and keeps taking out another loan to pay the interest.
I think the will put the club up for sale again in Januaryβ¦ ππ»

Tonights tune Tenpole Tudor - Swords of a thousand men.
When this song came out in 1981 it was released from their L.P. which literally everyone had bought, not for the music but rather the free T shirt you got with the album.
I actually saw Eddie Tenpole perform a few years back at the Leigh folk festival, incredible really a 50 year career on basically this one song and a few other novelty tracks like "wunderbar." He was still as mad as ever bouncing off of walls π
They will as well, if it saves them a few quid, and we'll have droves of cunts happy as fucking Larry at the prospect.

A lot of people can't wrap their heads around it: THIS is already the new normal. Those above our politicians already know it. They have plans in place to counter any resistance. There'll be shanty towns across England, and our overlords know exactly where they'll pop up.
