Announcements today on the removal of police officers who commit VAWG offences and stronger mandatory vetting standards look positive. These are measures I have long called for to root out DA perps. Look forward to seeing full detail in the police reform white paper next week.

Violence against women and girls is a national emergency. We're introducing dedicated referral services in every part of the country and trauma-informed care for children. These changes will make sure victims and survivors receive the reliable support and specialist care they need.
