As geopolitical priorities shift, capital cycles evolve, and technological disruption accelerates, business leaders face a defining challenge: how to turn global uncertainty into long-term competitive advantage. Perspectives from Sunjay Sudhir (@sunjaysudhir), Former Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Vani Kola (@VaniKola ), Founder & MD, Kalaari Capital and Amit Chandra, Chairperson, Bain Capital India Advisors, point to a common imperative: the ability to build strategic partnerships, think beyond short-term cycles and recognise opportunity amid disruption. At IGF Middle East 2026, these considerations will inform conversations on how businesses can navigate changing global dynamics, strengthen their international presence and position themselves for the next phase of growth. 8-9 December 2026 | Dubai Join the conversation shaping the next chapter of global growth: indiaglobalforum.com/igf-mid… #IGFMiddleEast2026 #GlobalGateways #IndiaGlobalForum #GlobalBusinessStrategy #StrategicPartnerships #GlobalInvestment #BusinessLeadership

1/2: India’s next phase of global growth will depend on more than ambition. It will depend on how effectively businesses can mobilise capital, enter new markets and build the capabilities needed to compete globally. As Indian enterprises look to expand their international footprint, three priorities are becoming increasingly important: access to growth capital, stronger pathways to global markets, and technology infrastructure that enables businesses to scale. But turning these opportunities into measurable outcomes requires more than investment. It calls for the right partnerships, forward-looking leadership and an ecosystem that supports long-term growth.

India’s growth story is giving global businesses another reason to reassess their long-term strategies. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised India’s GDP growth forecast for FY27 from 6.4% to 7%, with growth projected to remain at 7% in FY28. At a time when the global economy is expected to grow by 3.1% in 2026 and 3.4% in 2027, India’s outlook stands out. What’s driving this momentum? Strong domestic demand, robust services activity, an expanding consumer market and continued structural reforms are helping sustain growth despite global uncertainty. For businesses and investors, these projections carry implications beyond economic performance. They bring renewed attention to market expansion, long-term investment, local capabilities and the opportunities emerging across sectors. There are risks to consider, particularly rising energy costs, inflation and geopolitical uncertainty. But India’s growth outlook raises a larger strategic question: How can businesses translate the country’s economic momentum into lasting competitive advantage? As companies reassess their global priorities, the ability to identify opportunities, invest strategically and build for the long term will matter as much as the growth numbers themselves. Global investment decisions are no longer driven by returns alone. Security, resilience and political alignment are increasingly shaping where capital flows. In this episode of Views You Can Use, Dr. Walter C. Ladwig III (@walterladwig), King’s College London (@KingsCollegeLon), explores how the changing relationship between geopolitics and global capital presents a significant friend-shoring opportunity for India. As governments play a greater role in shaping the strategic environment for investment, businesses are reassessing where they deploy capital, prioritising trusted partners, resilient supply chains and long-term stability. India’s strategic autonomy gives it an advantage in navigating these shifts and maintaining relationships across major global markets. But attracting investment is only part of the opportunity. For investors, policy predictability and consistent execution remain critical to building long-term confidence. That is the challenge ahead: turning India’s strategic relevance into sustained investment by creating the stability and certainty that global capital needs. #JoinTheConversation: indiaglobalforum.com #FriendShoring #GlobalInvestment #StrategicAutonomy #UKIndiaWeek2026 #ViewsYouCanUse #IndiaGlobalForum

1/2: Access to AI is becoming a strategic priority, but what will determine which economies build a lasting competitive advantage? In this edition of #IGFSignals, we draw on perspectives shared at IGF London 2026 to examine three developments shaping the future of AI. Jean-Louis Arcand, President, Global Development Network (@GDNint ), highlights the wider economic consequences of restricting AI access, particularly as businesses, technology services and innovation ecosystems become increasingly interconnected across borders. Alejandro Sinekoff, Global Head – Strategic Alliances & Partnerships, L&T Semiconductor Technologies (@larsentoubro), offers a perspective on AI nationalism, emphasising that technological capabilities cannot be viewed through the lens of any single country.

Global growth is becoming less about choosing one market and more about understanding how opportunities, capital, technology and influence move across borders. For businesses looking to scale internationally, the questions are becoming more complex: Where is capital moving? How is technology reshaping industries? What does modern leadership demand? And what does it take to build brands and supply chains that can travel across markets? Now in its sixth edition, IGF Middle East 2026 brings together business leaders, investors and policymakers for two days of conversations focused on the forces shaping global growth. India’s next growth phase may depend less on headline ambition and more on how effectively reform, capital and execution come together. Santanu Sengupta (@sansengupta), Chief India Economist at Goldman Sachs (@GoldmanSachs), points to state-level reforms, faster execution and judicial capacity as critical to enabling entrepreneurship at the ground level. The capital requirement is equally significant. India’s investment rate will need to rise materially over the next decade, while long-term domestic savings pools such as pensions are becoming increasingly important to financing that growth. The opportunity is not just to mobilise more capital, but to create the conditions that allow it to translate into productive investment. #JoinTheConversation: indiaglobal.com #IndiaGrowth #Investment #EconomicReforms #CapitalMarkets #Infrastructure #Leadership #ViewsYouCanUse

Deeply saddened by the passing of Lord Jeffrey Archer. I had the privilege of knowing Jeffrey and experiencing first-hand his extraordinary passion for storytelling. It was that shared belief in the power of stories that brought Jeffrey, @authoramish Tripathi and me together to create the $25,000 IGF Archer Amish Award: to discover exceptional new Indian storytellers and help take their stories to a global audience. Jeffrey brought his trademark enthusiasm and generosity to the idea from the outset. The next edition will be especially poignant without him alongside us, but also more meaningful. We will continue what we started together and ensure that new Indian voices and stories are heard around the world. My deepest condolences to Dame Mary and the Archer family. Rest in peace, Jeffrey. @IGFupdates

Capital does not create growth on its own. What matters is whether businesses have the market access, credible partners, investment readiness and conditions needed to scale across borders. That is what makes the India-UAE opportunity increasingly significant. One side brings businesses looking to expand globally; the other offers capital, connectivity and access to wider markets. The next phase will be shaped by how effectively those strengths are converted into investable, scalable opportunities.
