🗓️ On December 4, our head of unit @Nienke_Schutte will talk in a session devoted to the European Health Data Space (#EHDS), with the support of the @xShare_project.

We were glad to be at the @DataSaves_Lives 5th anniversary event today! Our head of unit @Nienke_Schutte was leading a workshop on how to protect patient data while demystifying #healthdata processing for secondary use ( = for #research, innovation, policy making). #DSL5
Workshop 2 will explore how electronic records enhance #PatientSafety and #data security.
We’re discussing cutting-edge technologies, like federated learning, digital twins & synthetic data to boost health literacy and protect #patient rights.

Another @sciensano colleague was also present at the event: @WannesVanHoof, who is specialist in patients and citizen engagement as well as in ethical issues, was participating in a panel discussion on the importance of key stakeholders’ dialogue in building trust.
