The debate is over. The decision is coming. Last week's governor forum put Illinois' future front and center. Pritzker defended his record. Bailey called for a different direction on affordability, public safety, accountability, and schools. Two visions. One election. Watch the forum before November 3. news.wttw.com/2026/10/13/wtt…

The guy in charge of the ballots in Champaign County, Illinois is under federal indictment. He's also on the ballot. Clerk Aaron Ammons is charged with obstruction for allegedly helping cover for his wife, a Democrat state rep facing eight counts of wire fraud. He asked to push his own federal trial to December so he could run this election, and he got it. So how's that going? His office mailed more than 600 ballots with the wrong state House races on them. Early voting got shut down, and a lot of voters found out when they showed up. 28 people already voted on bad ballots, and those votes can't be fixed. One of the races they botched is a seat the Republican won by 269 votes last time. His wife's district got scrambled too. This is the same office that blamed a "cyberattack" in 2022, had an outage on Election Day 2024, and printed a GOP candidate's name as "Tad." Congress gave him until Friday to explain himself. Republicans asked Illinois AG Kwame Raoul to step in, and his office wouldn't even comment. If an indicted Republican clerk pulled this three weeks before an election, it would be on every network for a week. Instead it's crickets. capitolnewsillinois.com/news…

Cost of living was the top midterm issue across party groups in a University of Illinois survey. No surprise. The grocery bill is a weekly reminder that policy has consequences. Illinois families need relief they can feel.

The attempted shooting at a Hindu temple in Aurora is unacceptable and horrific. No one should live in fear for following their faith and we are thinking about the temple community as they celebrate Navaratri. Illinois Republicans will always stand with the Indian-American community.

The ballot is bigger than one race. Governor. U.S. Senate. Attorney general. Secretary of state. Comptroller. Treasurer. Legislative and local offices. Republican accountability is built race by race, all the way down the ballot. axios.com/local/chicago/2026…

JB Pritzker won't say their names. So I will. Katie Abraham. Sheridan Gorman. Officer John Bartholomew. Julian Mobley. Every one of them killed by someone this state's broken system let back out.

JB's grocery tax "cut" is the kind of thing we shovel out of the barn on Saturday mornings. He grabbed the headline, then gave your town the green light to charge you the same 1%. Nice try, JB.

Tonight JB has to defend the gas tax, the toll hike, the property taxes, and the SAFE-T Act out loud, in front of the whole state, with me sitting across from him. I wouldn't want to be him. Watch live: youtube.com/live/5iG3fsIvp0k…

JB Pritzker says property taxes are a local issue. But when Springfield pushes costs onto schools and towns without enough funding, YOU are left picking up the tab. Pritzker can't wash his hands of the problem when his policies are part of it.

Strong communities look out for one another. On World Mental Health Day, check in on a friend, neighbor, or loved one. A simple conversation can make a difference. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You don’t have to face it alone.

29 Chicago aldermen drew the line: No property-tax hike. No head tax. No tax on jobs. No imaginary Springfield money. Mayor Johnson should listen.
