Last week @TiagoALOMarques and Ana Širović were in Faial, at a workshop for the OCEAN project ocean-navigation-awareness.e… organized by @IMRuiPrieto on the problem of whale ship-strikes. Learned lots. Looking forward to see how PAM can help to find solutions to a difficult problem!

Today was the last day of our whale ship strike workshop. Congrats to @IMRuiPrieto for organizing it, together with the rest of the OCEAN project team. I learnt a lot about the topic, and there's still so much more we don't know. It will be interesting to see the topic evolve.

Having my mind blown at Escola do Mar emazores.pt/ the facilities to learn all about the sea, security and safety, with clear environmental and sustainability concerns, are absolutely world class.

NEWS: Our #whale team, in collaboration with @AfricanAquatic, has documented for the first time ever breeding songs of the #Endangered Sei whale, here in the #Falklands! This is just further proof of the importance of the Falklands as a Sei whale hotspot. Well done to Caroline! xitter.cf/FI_Conservation/status…
