Training also mattered: those who spent more time learning to use the goggles tended to perform better in object-detection tests.
🚀The study shows that a degree of visual function can be recovered even at advanced disease stages. While this is not normal sight (patients could not read or recognize faces) the findings lay the groundwork for improved optogenetic therapies.
