My testimony from today's hearings at the NH Statehouse. youtube.com/clip/Ugkx9QHuC3I…
These bills are straightforward common sense: they ensure that women and girls are not required to share intimate female-only areas with men, and that men and boys are not required to share their private spaces with women or with males who claim a female identity. Together, they set clear rules for restrooms, locker rooms, prisons, sports, and other single-sex spaces while still respecting the rights and safety of every resident in New Hampshire.
This legislation simply preserves what women and girls—and men and boys—have always had: private, sex-specific spaces that protect us from indignity, confusion, and potential abuse, and that allow everyone to flourish. There is nothing controversial in expecting our elected officials to uphold this long-assumed right and to protect families who do not want their children placed in uncomfortable or unsafe situations.
If New Hampshire passes these bills, the state will clearly show that the privacy, safety, and equal opportunities of its citizens—male and female—are worth defending. I respectfully ask the committee to move HB1217, HB1299, HB1442, HB1447, and HB1564 forward.

New England suffers higher electricity rates, not due to geography, but because of policy choices at the state level.
Under the Federal Power Act, states have exclusive authority to regulate the electricity generated and sold within their borders. This has allowed states to enact policies like renewable portfolio standards, clean energy standards, 100% renewable energy targets, and energy efficiency standards for houses and cars. As a result, the region boasts the highest electricity rates in the nation—with no end in sight.
The region is frequently an early adopter of policy changes that can inform or influence legislation elsewhere in the country over time.
Independent Women’s recent research highlights important implications for states considering New England’s energy standards. The findings reveal a clear tension between women’s growing concern over rising energy costs and their desire to remain responsible environmental stewards.
Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation helps bridge this divide. The analysis below examines how New England became the nation’s most expensive energy market, explores women’s perspectives on the region’s energy policies, and outlines practical solutions to a more affordable and sustainable path forward in the years ahead.

In the 1st month of state legislative sessions, 7 states have introduced bills modeled on Independent Women’s Voluntary Portable Benefits Act.
If enacted, the legislation primarily protects independent contractor status when companies contribute to portable benefits accounts for their 1099 workers.

Silence on Violence: Why Women’s Groups Aren’t Speaking Out Against Repeat Offenders, by @bbsfreedom1
Why Are We Releasing Career Criminals Who Go On To Murder Women?
In the past year, three young, white women—Bethany MaGee, Iryna Zarutska, and Logan Federico—were brutally attacked or murdered by men with extensive criminal records who had been repeatedly released from jail by liberal judges and the criminal justice system. The pattern is not just tragic; it is systemic. In each case, the killers were Black men with long histories of arrests and convictions, who were set free time and again, often under lenient bail or sentencing policies, only to commit horrific violence against vulnerable women.
The Cases
Bethany MaGee: On November 17, 2025, MaGee was doused in gasoline and set on fire by Lawrence Reed, a 50-year-old man with 72 prior arrests and 15 convictions, including arson, aggravated battery, and drug trafficking. Reed had been released on electronic monitoring after a violent assault on a social worker, despite prosecutors’ objections. He celebrated his crime, taunting MaGee and police after his arrest. Court records show Reed violated his curfew several times in the days leading up to the attack, but no action was taken.
Iryna Zarutska: In August 2025, Zarutska was stabbed to death on a Charlotte light rail by Decarlos Brown Jr., a man with at least 14 prior arrests, including armed robbery and assault. Brown was released on unsecured bail after a prior arrest, despite a documented history of violence and mental illness.
Logan Federico: Federico was shot in her sleep during a home invasion by Alexander Dickey, a 30-year-old man with 40 prior arrests, including multiple felonies for robbery, burglary, and drug offenses. Dickey had been released after serving a short sentence and continued to commit crimes, including theft and violence, before killing Federico.
Democratic policy has almost claimed another life on public transit. The victim is still alive, but horribly deformed after Lawrence Reed set 26-year-old Bethany MaGee on fire on a Chicago train. Her attacker is, like Iryna Zarutska’s, a decorated alumnus of the criminal justice system—another hero of the bankrupt and broken Democrat Party. To continue reading please go to my Substack.
