The most interesting item on this list may be the one at the very bottom: break up meat packing oligopolies.
A Schumer bill on an Abdul El-Sayed signature issue of monopolies & oligopolies.
The price of meat is too damn high!

Important folks know the backstory of this ad. My twin brother, Andrew Robert Colom, @andrewcolom, wrote, directed, and produced this ad, and starred alongside me in it. (He's not AI). 😂
Kayland Partee (@KaylandPartee) did the cinematographer and helped with a lot of my great content. These 2 are another example of the awesome talent from and in the Sip!
Is anyone going to talk about the fact that a sitting Republican Governor has gone full Haley Stevens, gloatposting about his Republicans bros getting their asses handed to them?
And Republicans don't even have the blood lust left to gut him like a trout?

One thing you guys are missing on the NPVIC:
It would not have only affected 2 elections in the last 30 years. Dem campaign travel, ad spending & policies, are all constrained by having to remain competitive in the Electoral College.

Pass the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact now
After last night, we have the votes to do it
RETWEET if you agree that it's time to end the folly of the Electoral College once and for all

Y’all - Scott Colom has a 65 vote lead in the Mississippi Senate race.
Yes you read that right. 6-5. That’s it.
Every vote in the Senate counts.
But Scott only has 18,600 followers on here.
Let’s change that. Let’s get him to 50k. RIGHT NOW.
Follow @scott_colom and RT this!
The brilliance of this ad isn't just finding a clever, funny, edgy way to amplify a revealing, out-of-touch gaffe.
It's fucking jujitsu: Beef vs. Portein.
Republicans use cultural signals to sell the party of billionaires & the super rich as representing “ordinary Americans”.

Elon Musk moving to Texas to get away from Dems, becoming the biggest partisan megadonor in history, then spending around a half-billion dollars to have his own state go blue immediately in the next election — with data centers the top gov issue — is pretty impressive
The last Republican President to be elected (not re-elected) winning the popular vote?
George H.W. Bush in 1988. 40 years ago..
People kept saying Trump would be the last President. Turn out, he might just be the last Republican President.
BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to effectively abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards...
Under the Constitution, states control their electoral votes and are allowed to decide how they are allocated during presidential elections. Currently, almost every state gives its votes to whoever wins the state.
In practice, the current system means that a candidate can win the national popular vote, but lose the election because small states like Wyoming exert undue influence on the outcome. That state has 3 electoral votes with a population of just 577,000 people. California has 54 electoral votes and a population of 39.5 million people. So a vote in Wyoming is essentially 3.8 times as valuable as one in California.
Since 1992, Democrats have won the popular vote seven out of nine times.
Under the NPV, states that join agree to give their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote, not just their own state. So a state could go red on the map, but if the Democrat wins the national vote, they still get that state's votes. And vice versa of course.
The crucial mechanism is that the compact doesn't trigger until the member states have a combined power of at least 270 electoral votes, the number needed to win the White House. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222 electoral votes. We only need 48 more.
Now is the chance to pass this measure in every state possible. Democrats won both houses of the legislature in Wisconsin for the first time in 18 years (10 electoral votes). We won the Pennsylvania state Senate for the first time since 1993 (19 votes). We now have a trifecta in Michigan (15 votes). And we won the governor’s race in Nevada (6 votes).
10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50.
222 + 50 = 272.
And if we hold our lead in the Arizona Senate, that number could climb as high as 283, more than enough to trigger the compact.
In addition to removing an imbalance in our system that favors Republicans, this novel approach would fundamentally change how candidates run their presidential campaigns. Currently, they are incentivized to ignore most of the country. If you live in a “safe” state, red or blue, your vote for President is basically decided before you cast it. Campaigns spend their time and money in a handful of swing states while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is adopted, they'll have reason to hit every state because they're aiming to win the largest swath of the country as a whole, not just certain states.
States have until July 20, 2028 to join the compact in time for the next presidential election.
We can fix our democracy. The time is now.
Please ❤️ and share if you support this idea!
Now, this is a fucking operator.
Colom might be the next Senator in Mississippi. But it's not a lock.
What is a lock is that he has the political class in awe right now.
So, what does he do? Use the spotlight to shout out allies & staff, building their clout & his influence.
Important people know the backstory of this ad. @patrickgaspard gave me the idea to take her inexcusable gaffe and do something edgy with it that could get attention.
My content creator, @RyanSayles_ directed and edited it. He should be considered the breakout-star of this cycle. He’s going to be a giant in the media consultant game. He did GAME CHANGING work with SO little.
Here are 18 policies to make life more affordable where Dems already have proposals in the House or the Senate.
And they *DON'T COST A DIME!*
1. End the war in Iran – lower gas price!
Congressional appropriations cutoff – Chuck Schumer and Ro Khanna (2026)
17. Ban conflicts of interests for pharmacy brokers, buyers and middlemen
Patients Before Monopolies Act – Elizabeth Warren and Josh Hawley (2026)
18. Break up meatpacking oligopolies
Family Grocery and Farmer Relief Act – Schumer, Booker, Warren and other Democrats (2026)
Why are Dems so bad at everything?
At least Booker gets "accountability", not Talarico's execrable "no retaliation", but then poo-poo's impeachment.
Here: "We'll crackdown on corruption & hold Trump accountable, but unlike him, we don't decide to indict, then go find a reason."
