People trying to exclusively blame the QB for the L is wild.

I keep trying to tell folks... get in lobbies with the crew and run sets instead of playing for pixel art in ranked.
After spending time in different regions, I think one reason Pakistani players are strong is how we practice. I've noticed that especially in Tekken, a lot of players in Japan and Korea focus more on ranked matches, while in Pakistan we play a lot of long FT sets.
Even if someone is much better than us, we keep playing to understand the matchup. We practice the same matchup over and over, even if we're losing most of the games.
Of course, players in other regions do this too, but I feel like this is very common in Pakistan and might be one of the reasons we're good at fighting games.

Bioware was one of the most important game devs in terms of my taste in games and between KOTOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, many of their titles in my top 10 games ever. The writing was on the wall for a long time but, it’s still quite sad. Their golden age was unmatched

What's next... Books became a metaphor for owning stories?

No. I never said "illegal things are fine as long as there's a reason", but legality and morality are separate questions.
Getting pretty tired of people putting words in my mouth and spreading misinformation, so here's the gist from somebody who actually studied videogame law.
Emulation and modding aren't inherently illegal in Japan. This Tekken 6 project isn't even emulation. It recompiles the Xbox 360 version to run on PC, and doesn't distribute the game itself. You supply your own ISO.
Owning the disc matters too. Dumping a disc you bought is not the same as downloading a pirated copy. So no, playing Tekken 6 with rollback ISN'T automatically piracy.
That doesn't mean every setup is legal, since bypassing copy protection or recompiling copyrighted code can still raise legal issues in Japan. Stop treating emulation, modding and piracy as if they're the same thing though. They're not.
And frankly, even where piracy is involved, I don't think playing a game that's nearly 20 years old with no official rollback rerelease is some terrible moral failing. You're free to disagree, but legality and morality aren't the same thing.
