If you can't end the war you started, if you can't bring down rising gas and diesel prices, if you don't know what to do about Ukraine, Gaza or A.I., if you can't even fix a reflecting pool, if your ugly bullying of Canada backfires -- then pretend to change the name of a lake.
BREAKING: President Trump officially changes the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America. "If you think about it, we have a gulf and we have a lake. Now, all we need is an ocean." 👀 🇺🇸

Trump's financial disclosures show that he purchased up to $500K in Boeing stock. That same day Boeing received an $880M contract from the U.S. Navy. When will the SEC do its job & investigate Trump’s apparent insider trading? He's using the presidency to enrich himself.

New reporting from ProPublica just exposed that Pete Hegseth polled top military commanders on cutting the program that protects civilians from military strikes. Every single one wanted to keep the program, but Hegseth gutted it anyway for being too “woke.” What followed was a U.S. strike in Yemen that a Pentagon review confirmed killed 153 civilians. On day one of Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran, another strike hit an Iranian primary school and killed up to 168 people. Central Command itself warned that these cuts would mean “increased risk of target misidentification,” but Hegseth ignored them.  These are the consequences of having the greatest military in the world in the hands of the most incompetent SecDef in American history. propublica.org/article/hegse…

Excluding the pre-Liberation Day bounce where companies increased imports ahead of expected tariffs, last month registered the worst U.S. trade deficit on record. More evidence that Trump's blanket tariffs have failed on their own terms.

GEO Group donated $1.4M to Trump’s MAGA Inc PAC last month — days after ICE handed it $165M/year in new contracts. Timeline: • July 13: GEO signs 5-yr ICE deal, $85M/year, Hudson, CO • July 16: GEO donates $1M to MAGA Inc • July 29: GEO signs 5-yr ICE deal, $80M/year, Winton, NC • July 31: GEO donates $413K to MAGA Inc GEO’s 2025 net income: $254.3M — up from $31.9M under Biden. Trump himself has traded GEO/CoreCivic stock nearly every month since taking office — no blind trust required. White House denies any link between donations and contracts. But we know better. Follow the money — it loops right back to him.

I have a hard time believing Ricketts is this stupid. We've enabled corruption to the point they can just do it out in the open.
Sen. Pete Ricketts on why the Trump administration isn't included in his stock trading ban bill: "What we want to do is make sure we're not locking out people who come from a successful business. We don't want to keep a successful business person from coming to Congress."

If you read anything today you must read my article on Trump’s ownership in private prisons and ICE detention facilities. Trump’s policies on immigration are literally lining his pockets. Major new sources globally are not covering this story.

How do you fuck up the 250th this badly? It’s such an easy win. An average Summer day on the Mall is a hundred times more full. You have to work to make it this empty. This regime is such a bizarre tragicomedy.

Every important business decision reduces to one question: how will people respond? Walk the branches — product, pricing, hiring, policy, campaigns — each one eventually becomes the behavior of dozens of real humans. That human layer is what we make legible. →

This is the product. Behaviorally realistic AI personas that simulate how different people think, feel and decide. Note the structure: not a list of attributes — a connected system. Personality, motivations, values, memory, contradictions, risk, communication, emotions and incentives all interact. That interaction is what makes responses realistic. →
