Behind closed doors these AI companies are all perfectly aware that their models are built by stealing from creatives to transfer wealth to a centralized few at the top.
AI is theft and they know it. The stealing was always the point to enrich a chosen few and that's it.
As Anthropic prepares to IPO for over $1 trillion, a reminder of Dario Amodei’s words shortly after founding the company:
“Distributed human labor is being used to train AI models by large, centralized actors, who concentrate the resulting profits while in the long run making the human labor obsolete.”
In other words, this IPO will be built off the backs of the world’s creatives - who will get nothing out of it except obsolescence.
It is a totally unjust transfer of wealth and opportunity from artists, writers, musicians & other creatives to a tiny tech elite.
I hope it is remembered as such.

I see how some people can watch flashy robot demos on the timeline and think with a shiver that the robot apocalypse is around the corner, but reality check:
There is no robot in the world that can change the batteries in a jack-o-lantern.
If you have a robot friendly door handle it might be able to walk outside, pick it up, and carry it back inside. The robot could open the drawer with your batteries in it, but then things get tough.
Opening the package of AA batteries?
Extracting a precision screwdriver from its case?
Unscrewing four tiny screws that require a hard press and twist?
Popping batteries out of the case?
Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities. Near term doomer scenarios should stop at “secretly controlling humanity” instead of “wiping humanity out” 😀
Star Wars did the same thing & they all still hated it except Ben Shapiro lmfao. It’s about the money. If creatives “fix” what they’re mad about, they’ll still hang on to old threads to feed the base. The way it’s 2026 & creatives really think culture wars are “fan movements” 😭
Culture war bait has NEVER been successful on its own. It’s required MILLIONS of dollars & agenda-based orgs to spread. The works shaping culture are increasingly from indie & organic creators boosted by communities who value art. Don’t let anyone tell you caring doesn’t matter!
