There exists in the apostolic Christian churches something vulnerable, something all creatures are expected to joyfully defend to the death—to the crumb. If the revolution happens, you will find me first at the Catholic and Orthodox churches, safeguarding God, as the bees did.

Made me stop hating Texas sports teams. A senator, congresspeople, who knows who all else, and a roaring, screaming crowd of tiny people all crammed in front of a terminal. That's after the fire trucks doused us...and we weren't even a Texas-based unit. It was a LAYOVER.

As long as we're trying, we're probably in a good spot.

trust me, the immigration lawyer world taking advantage of unenforced immigration law is a huge part of why honest and accidental overstays get mixed in w/ the rest of the B2-4-lyfe crowd. The dude married an American, there's no reason to be an overstay unless his lawyer didn't submit the paperwork.

The question was not whether Latin and French were the mass vernaculars, the question was whether the people who could read to the competent degree required to read an advanced work like the Bible, people that this translation would be a responsible, useful text for, could, overwhelmingly, also read Latin or French.

And suitable was English at this time as a language for translation? Was it not transitioning from Middle to Modern? Was it not broken into at least three dialects? Did it have any established grammar or spelling? When, good @grok, was tge Oxford dictionary finished, how many hundreds of years later, and how much effort, frustration, and time did it take to finish it according to books like "The Lexicographer's Dilemma"? Weren't approved Vernacular translations tied to languages that the the vast majority of the educated (and literate) could read, anyway? The languages in which one could learn grammar? Languages like Latin or French, languages that'd both had a long presence in Britain and were far more stable? Isn't the Vulgate ITSELF a vernacular translation for the Latin Church, of which England saw itself a member, even in the early days of King Henry VIII's efforts to tie it to his own power? To speak nothing of the Eastern Churches' translations. Did Protestants execute people for heresy? Was Tyndale not given the usual two chances to correct his efforts by the church before being left to the state? Wasn't the concern heretical and sloppy interpretations that'd pull people away from communion with the one Church, which was the Church of Europe up to around this time? Exactly the sort of thing Tyndale's Bible proved to be? Wasn't there a fervor of Humanist proto-modernism and heretical Particularism rising through Europe, which such unapproved translations for "the masses" clearly reflected?

>Tyndale was hunted, exiled, and betrayed for the “crime” of translating the Bible into English so ordinary people could read it. You memorialize your "martyrs" with lies? Dark path.

Depends where. Arguably better than what's currently happening in Pakistan/Afghanistan. Probably a solid 2% improvement.

Kingsley (who's been a decent guard for where we got him) and CEH (who was a Mahomes pick). Who else?

Maybe we can get an offensive GM, maybe have Andy pick the offensive players? Maybe, um, beg Dorsey to come be our head talent scout?

There are a LOT of shady immigration lawyers. They're horrible—and then they don't have to answer for malpractice when their clients get deported after they took all their money and did almost no work on their behalf. Because their client is barred from the US. Another downwind injustice of an immigration system based on commie vibes.
