Scooped on breaking my own news🤣, but ... Happy to confirm that I have joined the @MIAA033 team in a liaison role working with tournaments, technology and media. I want to thank Dr. Bob Baldwin, @sbryantMIAA and staff for this incredible opportunity.

Can’t remember the last time I saw a puck deflect into the 300 level at the Garden.

Per @covers, the first time as a road favorite since Oct. 27, 2019 ... a 22-17 UMass win (3.5-point favorite).

UMass-Western Michigan in Detroit for a CFB playoff spot … it’s inevitable. Ohio State and Oregon don’t want any of that MACtion smoke.

Rick dedicated a decade or more to researching and chronicling the history of Mass. high school hockey and promoting the game simply through his love of the sport. He became a valued and trusted resource, and more importantly, a true friend. Condolences to his family.

To say this is shocking news is an understatement. Danny V was a big reason why I took over as Herald HS editor in late summer 2000. His work ethic, institutional knowledge, and passion for HS sports in Massachusetts will never be matched. Tremendous loss for all who knew him.

I’m sorry … the WiFi on my plane appears to be acting up. Wut.

As far as I can tell, T-Mobile Arena joins the old Boston Garden (1972 and ‘74) as the only buildings to host both the NCAA Hockey Championship and the Stanley Cup Final in the same year.

Bad decision by the Canadiens not recalling and dressing Marc Del Gaizo tonight. @buccigross #watchout

This makes it all the more amazing that the Sabres went nearly the entirety of Game 6 against the Bruins without a penalty.

X users hitting refresh every 3 seconds and then lashing out at NFL reporters for doing their jobs will never not be funny. The “live” broadcast is already two picks behind and it will only get worse. Like, how long as they supposed to wait to report news?

Bruins with the comeback of the da … Wait, what did I miss?

My senior year of HS I missed a campus tour, and eventually was pointed to Boyden to walk cold into the SID office and introduce myself to Howie. He became my mentor for four years and has remained so, as well as a true friend, all these years later. Congrats to a real legend.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a FOGO in hockey, but Mark Kastelic plays the role perfectly.

Who wants to tell them?

Party like it’s 1977. #bluejays #mariners

True story: Liam Coen actually wanted to first run this play as UMass QB in 2006 against UNH, but NCAA rules would have whistled him down. (Note: possibly not a true story at all.)
