ALT Niloofar Hedayati is a Graduate Research Assistant for the MAP Project Stream 1 (SFU Stream): Navigation and Pedestrian Environment Accessibility. She has a master's degree in Architecture and is currently a master's student in the Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University.

ALT Niloofar's research interest lies in the intersection of environmental psychology, well-being, and older adults. Due to her educational and professional background in architecture, she worked for years on several environmental design projects focusing on different social groups, including children, older adults, and people with disabilities. Moreover, alongside her studies, she worked on a municipality's urban project to identify older residents' needs and recommend necessary neighbourhood changes to help people live healthier. All these experiences led her to choose gerontology as a field of focus. She is now concentrating her research on built-environment features that influence social interaction and mobility in culturally diverse older adults.
