Mary sinned, and she had sex with her husband. But the holy act of having sex with her husband wasn’t what made her a sinner.

What prevents me from calling this an icon of Jesus? And if I do, are the Orthodox obligated to venerate it?

How can you know God’s will apart from His Word?

They genuinely don’t have an answer for this. They cannot biblically explain how such a leap is warranted.

The saints in Heaven are described by Paul as “dead in Christ.” They are physically dead and spiritually in Christ. If I wish to commune with them, then I should commune with Christ because they are in him.

For anyone waiting for another temple to be built, you’re 2,000 years too late. The body of Christ is God’s temple.

If a person sets up a lifeless image of son or dear one and thinks that person, though dead, is present, and through the lifeless image he imagines him, much more do [Christians] enjoy the communion of the saints through the divine Scriptures, having in them images not of their bodies but of their souls, the words spoken by them being of their very souls.

Honor Mary by imitating her faith. I do so by praying to God alone 😌

It’s videos like this that make me look forward to the new earth. We can all look at this and say, “Wow, how beautiful is this? A father loving his son and sharing in the joys of nature and music.” I can’t help but think of what Jesus says in Matthew 7:11. Even we, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to our children. How much more will our Heavenly Father give good gifts to His children? It is good to enjoy the beauties of this world here and now, but know that this is only a glimpse of what our Heavenly Father has in store for us.

If you hold to Nicaea II, then Paul’s anathema in Galatians applies to you.

It is a dishonor to Mary to elevate her as the Papists and Orthodox have done. The saints are most honored when we direct our attention to Christ, for all the saints are found in Him, not having a righteousness of their own, but that which comes through faith in Christ.

Paul doesn’t mention Mary once.
You can’t preach the Gospel without Mary.
