Fed Up?
You don’t have to tell Sharon from book club. We just need an actual prosecutor.
Vote Foust.

“From Six Cents to Common Sense” – Republican leadership turned our State around financially. In 2002, with Democrats in charge, Indiana had only six cents in the bank and owed millions to our schools.
Today, we have a balanced budget, healthy reserves, low debt, well-funded pensions and a AAA credit rating.
Six Cents to Common Sense. Vote early. Vote now. Vote Republican.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Fall Dinner! We had a packed room and incredible energy as we head into the final stretch before Election Day.
A special thank-you to our guest, @AriFleischer, for sharing his insights, stories, and advice with us.

Inspiration was at high tide tonight at the Indy Republicans Lincoln Day Dinner — Ari Fleischer shared incredible insights from his press secretary days for President George W. Bush and gave a GREAT shout out to Max Engling for Secretary of State! We also received a charge to WIN BACK Indianapolis for the sake of public safety and good governance from Mr. Bob Elroy, who wrote the legislation for Unigov and was the general counsel for the inaugural City-County Council. I was honored to present him with the State Party Chair’s Award on behalf of Lana Keesling. And on that note of winning back Indianapolis for public safety — vote Philip Foust for Prosecutor!

👉 Experienced Deputy Prosecutors saw RYAN MEARS moving to decriminalize the criminals, while destroying the morale of both prosecutors and police…they fled his Radical Agenda

IndyStar asked if @ryanmearsindy is soft on crime. Then they published 3,000 words without the data they said would answer the question.
The true test is prison time in plea agreements, cases he does and doesn’t file, and what Mears counts as a “conviction” when touting his murder trial rate. HINT: it is not always a conviction for murder. It is also in a thousand other decisions that show whether the elected prosecutor cares more about criminals than victims: whether to pursue sentencing enhancements, whether to move to revoke bond when a defendant picks up a new case, how hard to argue a probation violation, whether to oppose expungement of a criminal record, and on and on.
I’ve served as a deputy prosecutor, and I know what it means to really fight for victims. That’s not what Mears is doing.
The IndyStar reporters said sentencing data was the first thing they wanted, but then said it “is not data that’s centrally tracked” and “it’s just not tracked.” They ran the piece without it. As the Wachner child-sexual-abuse-material case showed, what you actually need are the terms of the plea agreements. Ryan Mears has those terms. Hand them over. Wachner also showed you cannot trust Mears’s version of what happens in the courtroom. When the press pulled the record, it was a DIFFERENT story: his office did not ask for prison for a teacher who bought horrific infant pornography.
“Not tracked” is not the same as “the data does not exist.” IndyStar treated that gap as proof the criticism is bogus rather than questioning why Mears is not transparent.
That is not an investigation of his record. That is an investigation of the numbers he will let you see.
Ryan Mears knows his misleading claims and his lack of transparency will not hold up to real scrutiny from someone who knows that office inside and out — like me. That is why he hides behind opaque stories about data that supposedly is not tracked — data his office controls. THAT IS WHY HE WILL NOT DEBATE.
Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears has been accused of handing out "sweetheart" plea deals. We analyzed 220,000 cases to see what the data shows. indystar.com/story/news/inve…

Vote for Karen Momper for Washington Township Trustee in Marion County! You can count on her for fiscal responsibility & compassionate leadership. When I think of Karen, I remember our husband’s watching our young kids so we could go celebrate Governor Mitch Daniels’ first Election Night victory, and how we went through a class at her church and the Lugar Series together…and her incredible help on my campaigns. My mom, Cindy Noe, and I can attest to Karen’s deep commitment to community and public service. Get to know her here, you’ll be so glad you did… karenmomper.com
