BREAKING: Trump turned his golf empire into a billion-dollar tax shelter. Trump made about $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025, plus more than $200 million from real estate, leaving him facing a projected tax bill of over $500 million, per Forbes calculations. In December 2025, his company donated the development rights to his golf club in Jupiter, Florida, to a land trust, arguing the course was a natural habitat worth protecting. He kept owning and running the club. Forbes estimates the write-off could reach around $825 million. It’s a strategy Trump has used at least five times since 2005: Bedminster, NJ (2005): Claimed a $39 million deduction on a property he bought for $8 million. The IRS initially valued the write-off at zero before the two sides settled. Doral, FL: Claimed a deduction of up to $323 million, more than twice what he paid for the entire resort. New York and California (2014–2015): The New York attorney general alleged the Trump Organization misled appraisers to inflate both donations. A month after the Jupiter deal, Trump sued the IRS over the leak of his tax information. His own Justice Department’s settlement bars claims against him over matters that are pending or “could be pending.” Forbes argues that language could cover his 2025 taxes; Attorney General Todd Blanche told Congress it doesn’t. A federal judge ruled in July that the lawsuit was brought to manipulate the judicial process. Trump is appealing. Among the homeowners whose properties back onto the Jupiter fairways: Eric Trump, and IRS CEO Frank Bisignano, who took the job as the deal was being put together.

A lot of people in the real world still aren't real people. 55% of US adults read below a sixth-grade level, and a majority of those are aged 55+. They're hardly able to comprehend the basics of every day life. Their opinions come from the TV and TikTok (reposted to Facebook)

Let me correct myself: Out of the adults that read below a sixth-grade level, ages 55+ are not the majority. They do not split the amount of people up that way. However, that age group does carry the lowest proficiency scores

"Normal" ? Microsoft is ReFSphobic
Microsoft is about to block some external drives on Windows. Starting in January 2027, Windows will block ReFS-formatted external and removable drives by default. Normal USB drives using NTFS, exFAT or FAT32 are NOT affected. The change mainly hits people using ReFS on external SSDs or HDDs, something Microsoft says was never officially supported.

You only need to upgrade your phone every 5 years nowadays, if that even. People are still running the iPhone 12 with no issues. I use Androids for 4 years before upgrading, and I've got no clue when I'll upgrade mine since it's last year's model.
Jefferies says demand for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max is weakening. The warning signs: shorter delivery times and falling resale prices. It’s the second sign of soft demand this month, after reports that Apple told suppliers to cut production of some parts for its new iPhone lineup. But not every model is struggling: Apple’s new iPhone Duo sold out almost immediately last week, with delivery dates pushed into late November.

Michael Douglas reveals he smuggled 44 kilos of marijuana in leather suitcases to pay for college DOUGLAS: "When I turned 21, and I was just my sophomore year in college. My dad said, 'You're 21. Okay, here you go.' He took a checkbook, he wrote a check, and he gave me $10,000. I said, 'Wow, Dad, thanks. That's great. Wow.' He says, 'You're on your own, kid.'" ROGAN: "What was that in those days? Like, what is that equivalent to in today's dollar?" DOUGLAS: "I don't know. I don't know. But I said, 'Dad, it's great.' But you know, I got two years more of tuition in school and everything. And you know, a couple of my brothers started getting pissed about, you know, 'You're taking this.' No, I'm really grateful, but anyway." "For 30 years, my father had four sons. I was the oldest. For 30 years, Dad would look at all of my other brothers and say, 'Your brother Michael never asked me for anything in his life after that.' And he would just drill these poor bastards, my brothers, about that. And finally, about 30 years later, I had to say, 'Dad, I got to tell you something.' He said, 'What?'" "I said, 'You remember one Christmas you bought me a beautiful present? You bought me these two beautiful Italian leather suitcases. They were soft, they were leather, just beautiful suitcases, right?' He said, 'Yeah, I can't remember.' Well, when I would go back like at Christmas time from school and go see my mother back east, right? Well, each suitcase could fit 22 kilos of marijuana. And I used to go back with just the clothes on my back and 44 kilos, you know? And that was how I got through the rest of the expense of my school. Did it a couple of times, and that got me through. But I said, 'I got to tell you the story, Dad, because you're beating the shit out of my younger brothers and everything about how I never asked you for anything..." ROGAN: "But I was a drug dealer, right? Wow, that's crazy."

For the average Floridian, this means they increased taxes on you by more than a billion dollars while giving tax breaks to the wealthy & large corporations. The Governor was so proud of this bill, he signed it in the dead of the night!
Replying to @fineout
GOP officials who ultimately backed the measure say they were willing to do so because the increased collections from internet transactions were offset by tax decreases for unemployment compensation & commercial leases

We have not seen a caravan headed to the U.S. southern border in several years, why now? Oh yeah, there is an election coming and the GOP needs to scare you into voting because nothing else is working.
Over 400 aliens predominantly from Honduras entered Mexico on Thursday, ready to make their way to the US southern border… Here’s footage of the caravan. Someone is incentivizing this movement, this is not organic.
