This statement opens up more questions. Wetherspoons are saying the pub was closed, however the video which has caused much of this anger clearly shows the security and management (?) say people could enter if they removed the poppies.
Looks like the company is digging a bigger hole.

Outside of the fact the manager is on video quite clearly stating Wetherspoons doesn't want anyone in their pub wearing the Poppy.

The bouncer clearly stated that if they removed the poppy they would be allowed in, but if they put it back on once inside they would be asked to leave.
So of course it was about the poppy. It may not be Wetherspoon policy but the staff at this particular pub clearly had a huge issue with the poppy being worn inside their establishment.
The manager needs to be held to account.

As they are in all Spoons across the country.

My lad's at med school (3rd year).
His first two years were absolutely riddled with DEI training and other such bollocks.
His end of year exams contained loads of it too.

Took my daughter to look around a well known University. The business lecturer has purple hair and talked about human rights and DEI. Went to Marketing, the slides looked like they'd been put together by a 4 year old girl. Conclusion save ยฃ25k a year and get a job.
