Working in tech for the better part of 20 years has taught me one thing. I'd rather be outside. But I love raising my kids with my wife, coding, playing video games, BBQing and especially being out in nature doing cool things on mountains. Building on the side of a 9-5 has been an eye opening experience, and I've met a ton of super cool, intelligent and amazing builders - whether UI/UX, Design or straight up code typing, y'all are awesome at what you do, and I can't wait to meet more e-friends.

If you haven't checked out Tern DO IT NOW! it is seriously so good
This update has no shiny new features 🔒 After a week deep in security work, here's what just went live: 📎 13MB attachments on every provider ✉️ SMTP checks emails are received 🔐 Stronger passwords that are automatically checked against known breaches 🚫 Magic links are deprecated 📱 iOS and Android have offline outbox support Not the flashiest update, but it's the one that makes Tern something you can trust with every inbox. xitter.cf/tern_mail/status/21142…

Side Quest is quickly turning into main quest.... Went to a local pumpkin "patch" today and nabbed some pumpkins. Can't believe Halloween is less than a week away!

It's Sunday Funday! Still rocking being sick, head congestion is going away, but now the sore throat stage has begun. Worry not though, the build continues. Good progress on my side quest yesterday. I started making a game on friday evening and so far have gotten through "phase 1" aka the core game mechanics and physics, and texture/lighting systems are done. Basic multiplayer code is in as well, but untested as of yet. Sooooo much work yet to do. Hope everyone has a great sunday!

We’re adding support for MCP Tasks and Elicitations in Claude. Tasks let Claude give plugins long-running jobs such as deep research and report back when they’re done.

Happy Saturday Camprtron Campers - we've got a huge Camprtron release live! camprtron.com Greatly improved support for all of our Rig/Rv/Camper lovers ✅ "My rig" - save it once, reuse it everywhere ✅ Road access and site length shown as two separate answers ✅ "Check sites for my rig" on developed campgrounds - checks each campsite for your dates ✅ Real campsite lengths (no more rounding up) ✅ Campgrounds we can't check say so right away ✅ Fully up to date against all vulnerabilities that exploded this week Rig info stays private. It never goes in a search, a share link or analytics Hope y'all have a great weekend!

I have a "save-plan" skill i use with claude. It's purpose is to take a small prompt/sentence and turn it into a fully fleshed out claude workflow plan complete with model selection per task. This has been working great, but I realized it's extremely slow these days. I looked into it and it has an adversarial review process that is 5 subagents. it also performs multiple stages of testing. I've decided to stop using it as I really don't think the newer models (Claude 5.5 family) need this much review/guidance. I'm testing out my new skill which makes a basic prompt after interviewing me. Once I've used it a bit i'll be able to compare how well it did vs my old skill. If it lives up to my expectations I'll give it out to everyone! happy building!

This week has been a lot. And now it's time for one more massive hurdle. 🔒 Tern is officially going through CASA. The deadline is closing in, so I've floated the remaining cost myself. No more waiting, it's time to get things moving with this. There are still lifetime spots available if anyone wants to support Tern, but this is happening either way! 😎 Let's get Tern certified!

Definitely have a head cold, hopefully that's it. Going to be a chill weekend whether I wanted it or not! At least I had a productive week.

Good morning internet! Woke up with 1200psi of sinus pressure so today might be a bit low key Think this little dude woke up on the wrong side of the nest too. It was barking at me when I walked outside Always wondered what it would be like to be a squirrel for a day…

The dual monitors made testing so much easier. Sorted out several new bugs found during testing Confirmed the feature enhancements all work as expected. I even got that tingly feeling when things actually work out the way you wanted. Release iminent. but not tonight. it's family time now
I have a dock setup just for my personal dev laptop but I almost never use it for my personal work, just the 9-5 laptop (i rock 2x macbook pros, and a windows gaming pc at my desk). But when I have a huge test plan, I get really tired of swapping virtual desktops back and forth, so dock it is tonight! Time to grind out some manual testing for the new Camprtron.com rig feature enhancements! coming soon, to an internet near you...

I love the little dinosaurs that roam my backyard. So does my 10lb Cavapoo. She enjoys chasing them across the deck 🤣

Manual testing is still such an important part of the release cycle. I just found a pretty big lapse in my data, and a bug that was preventing it, just because i put human eyes on my app while testing some new features. I know these days we are trying to automate everything, but sometimes nothing beats a pair of eyes and your hands driving the interactions with your software. The bug I found in Camprtron was a lot of campsites were listed as "length limit not listed" - aka i was not storing the max length of RV the site can handle. AI would never have found this without being explicitly told to look for it - which requires human intervention. Once I noticed this, I had my agent inspect my database and during that inspection it found an ingestion bug as well as the data that backed up my hunch. Now it's designing a plan to address the bug and the data issue. I count that as a win for spending my time manually testing
