Together with @IDL_Labs , we celebrated the graduation of 25 Community-Based Organizations from Kakamega, Busia, and Bungoma under the #IjueDataYakoIII Project. Over a six-month journey, they deepened their understanding of Kenya's Data Protection Act, gained practical skills in Data Protection Impact Assessments, data subject rights, lawful processing, and compliance with the @ODPC_KE to better safeguard the privacy of the communities they serve.
We had 2 CBOs officially certified as Data Controllers by the ODPC, 4 applications submitted and pending approval, several more actively progressing through the registration process, and all of them embedding responsible data governance practices into their daily operations. This initiative goes beyond capacity building; together, we are fostering a growing community.

Kenya Vision 2030 seeks to transform Kenya into a globally competitive and prosperous upper middle-income country that provides a high quality of life to all its citizens in a clean and secure environment.
Achieving this vision goes beyond infrastructure development and economic growth; it requires a steadfast commitment to the National Values and Principles of Governance that promote good governance, national unity, integrity, accountability, equity, inclusivity and sustainable development.
Enshrined in Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya, these values guide policy formulation, public service delivery and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that development is transparent, participatory, people-centred and responsive to the needs and aspirations of all Kenyans.
By upholding these values in our institutions, workplaces and communities, we foster responsible leadership, strengthen public trust and accelerate the realization of Kenya Vision 2030, creating a more prosperous, inclusive and sustainable future for present and future generations.
