About the “anti-Pogačar route” gimmick 😂👇🏽
Caen 2025: Pog lost 16s to Remco (flat 33km TT).
Garda 2024: he lost 29s to Ganna (flat 31km TT).
Still an easy Pogačar stomp, but the fight for the podium could be generational 🥵
Just goes to show how deceiving first impressions can be 🤷🏻♂️
After taking a closer look, apart from the Grand Colombier stage and maybe one or two too many sprint stages, I actually really like the route, tbh. Kinda hyped for July! 🤔

Despite all the TT kilometres, the mtfs are extremely tough, and Remco could lose a lot of time on several stages (Domancy, etc.).
Improving his climbing should therefore be his priority, rather than trying to get 0.1% better at something he’s already the GOAT at 😭

I don’t know who’s more unhappy after that route presentation: the Giro director or Jonas Vingegaard 🤷🏻♂️
They’re trying to create an anti-Pogačar route, even though that’s impossible.
But it does mean that it could be very difficult for Vingegaard to finish in second place🤷🏻♂️
I never thought a stage of the Étoile de Bessèges would end up being my favorite moment of the year. But so be it 🤷🏻♂️ #KOCKELMANIA
