The age of AI demands a new model of govt, with a stronger centre driving technological transformation across the state.
Leaders can seize the opportunity to deliver a better future for their country if they meet this moment and make bold transformations.
The approval of Jackdaw is welcome news for the UK. But it wonât fix Britainâs energy system.
TBI expert @ToneLangengen explains why we need a fundamental reset to deliver cheaper, more secure power.
We welcome the approval of Jackdaw - itâs great news for Aberdeen and for the UK.
This project means jobs on the rigs and in the supply chain, tax revenue for the Treasury, and a boost for an economy thatâs been crying out for investment.
Letâs be clear - clean energy is the future, but in the near term we must be pragmatic and make use of the homegrown resources we have. (1/2)
Jackdaw will start to supply gas to British homes and businesses "from as early as the end of this month", the government says.
The chancellor will also announce today the launch of a "energy wealth fund" which will "use tax revenues from North Sea oil and gas to invest in renewable and low carbon energy projects".

We also need to be honest about what this decision doesnât solve. Britainâs energy system has some of the highest household electricity costs in Europe and is still weighed down by rising network and system costs, an outdated grid, and a market structure that keeps price artificially high.
Thatâs why we need a whole energy system reset to shift to Cheaper Power 2030, Net Zero 2050. This would achieve abundant, affordable electricity that protects families, supports economic growth, and make electrification cheaper. (2/2)

In 2008, a UK court nearly upheld a confiscation order under rules that hadnât applied for seven years.
In layering rules upon rules, governments often lose track of their own laws. Itâs hard to cut red tape or make life easier for businesses when youâre not sure which rules still apply.
We built CentreAI Codify to change that: an open-source tool using AI to make statute books structured and searchable.
âYour aim is always to serve people and make good decisions and really have an effect.â
For political leaders, understanding how and when those decisions will have an impact isnât always straightforward. Sanna Marin reflects on the challenge from her own time in office, and the tools she wishes sheâd had.
CentreAI is built to help todayâs leaders do just that: make better-informed decisions and turn priorities into delivery.

Governments need a new operating model.
The modern civil service was built around generalists, administration and process. AI has changed all this.

âI donât think people fully understand the complexity of making decisions.â
We sat down with TBI Strategic Counsellor and former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin to ask what people donât see about decision making at the centre of government - from gathering the right information to navigating competing priorities.
This is the challenge we built CentreAI for: to help political leaders and their teams access the information they need and turn it into action.

Political leaders now have to govern on two tracks at once.
They are balancing immediate demands and pressures alongside preparing government for a technological revolution that could change how the state operates.
Tony Blair calls it âdual-track leadershipâ.

âThis weekend, the Green Party of England and Wales crossed a line. A dangerous line.â
