AN APPEAL FOR TRANSPARENCY, FAIRNESS AND REVIEW OF THE RECRUITMENT SHORTLISTING PROCESS I respectfully appeal to the relevant authorities, the Head of Civil Service and the Chairman,Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission to review my recruitment records and provide clarification on why I was not shortlisted despite my strong performance in both the CBT and oral interview. I scored 81.67% in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and performed well during the oral interview. I was asked to state Newton First Law and give 2 examples in real life. I answered the question correctly and was openly applauded and commended by members of the interview panel. I have no age-related issue. My date of birth is consistent across all my official documents. I completed my primary education in 2008 and my secondary education in 2014. I subsequently graduated with First Class Honours in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science, University of Uyo in 2023. I completed my National youth service assignment in 2024. My academic credentials and other submitted documents are authentic and available for verification. I applied for the position of Scientific Officer II(GL.8), a position for which a bachelor's degree in a Natural or Applied Science was stated as a requirement. Mathematics falls within the relevant scientific discipline. I therefore find it difficult to understand why, despite my academic qualification, examination performance and interview performance, my name was not included in the final shortlist. What makes the situation particularly concerning to me is when I see someone getting the recruitment email with a CBT score of 52. I am not raising this issue to discredit any candidate or to demand preferential treatment. Rather, I am simply appealing for fairness, transparency and accountability in a recruitment process that directly affects me. I acknowledge that His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, may not have direct knowledge of the individual circumstances surrounding every stage of the recruitment exercise.I respectfully request that my case be reviewed, alongside the relevant recruitment records, including my CBT score, academic qualifications, interview performance and the criteria used in determining the final shortlist. I am not a social media influencer, nor am I seeking unnecessary publicity. I am simply a young graduate who worked hard, met the stated requirements, scored 81.67% in the CBT, appeared before the interview panel and gave my best during the process. It is deeply painful to see such effort seemingly go unrewarded without any explanation. I am not asking for favour. I am asking for fairness, transparency and an opportunity to have my case properly reviewed, if an error or omission occurred.
