FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Celebrating 60 Years of Botswana by Creating 60 Opportunities for Young People GABORONE, BOTSWANA: 10 SEPTEMBER 2026 As Botswana celebrates 60 years of independence, Gabz FM is calling on private companies, parastatals, SMMEs and government entities to turn celebration into meaningful action with “60 for 60: Adopt & Empower.” The national initiative aims to create 60 meaningful opportunities for young people by encouraging organisations to adopt and empower at least one young person for a threemonth engagement period. The initiative offers organisations an opportunity to turn their advertising investment into meaningful impact. Participating organisations will redirect the value of their Gabz FM advertising package towards empowering a young person for three months while receiving the corresponding advertising value on Gabz FM. Opportunities may include internships, skills development, mentorship, services, work experience or meaningful opportunities within an organisation, with participating organisations providing a monthly stipend equivalent to the value of the advertising package. 60 YEARS. 60 OPPORTUNITIES.
