Shut your Joy Taylor hole
.@EmmanuelAcho QUITE critical of JJ McCarthy being named the Giants' starter on Sunday
"JJ McCarthy bouta go out there and STINK IT UP! His starting job will be very quickly taken away"

Its not that big of a deal. John Elway. Brett Favre. Matthew Stafford. Jeff George. Terry Bradshaw. All had heaters
The one thing with J.J. McCarthy: He throws the fastball a lot. That was somewhat of an issue in Minnesota. The old "catchable ball" thing. You want to be able to turn the speed on and off to help the WR.
An example there on the third down to Nabers. Not sure that ball needed to come in that hot. Caught Nabers off guard a bit.
I have always loved Jonathan Taylor as a player, but this is not the time to trade for a 27 year-old running back. We are not making a Super Bowl run. If you absolutely must make a trade for someone, make it an OL or DL or CB you can actually build the future of the team around.
Of course you trade him. The Eagles have done this multiple times over the decades.
Something to keep an eye on:
If JJ McCarthy actually plays well, or better yet great, so great that he takes the Giants to a playoff win, maybe more.
Do you just trade him to another team? What if Dart is never the same, and youβd just given your best qb away?

Calling others βcasualsβ while writing a dissertation absolving a career backup QB is hilarious. Went through this with Daniel Jones. Itβs always the OL, coaching, receivers or run game. At some point, the QB is part of the problem too. Thatβs why Jameis is a backup
Blaming Jameis Winston for the Giants' offensive struggles is a casual box-score take that completely ignores structural reality. No quarterback can operate efficiently when the run game produces next to nothing and the entire defensive game plan is dialed in to stop the pass.
Let's look at the actual context of Jameis's starts:
β’ Wk 3: Norβ Eastern storm 30-40 mph wind gusts & freezing rain. Pulled out the win. No INTs
β’ Wk 4: More rain, 250 yard 3 TDs / 2INT win.
β’ Wk 5: Left completely on an island. Threw 54x for 326 yds, 3 TD/0 INT. Put the team in position to win, but ruined by a late fumble & missed kicks.
β’ Wk 6: Skattebo benched, 15 yards of run support for Jameis.
There is a massive double standard brewing in NY. If a veteran like Jameis struggles under a broken offensive script, it's blamed on him. If rookie JJ McCarthy struggles under the exact same conditions, itβll be excused as a "not ready."
JJ's Wk 6 production came against a soft, 4th-quarter garbage-time zone. That is a completely different game.
Letβs really get to the heart of being a NFL quarterback. Delivering the ball. A running QB is nice but is really unsustainable if they can't process past a 1st or 2nd read once defenses spy them.
Jameis has the veteran vision to diagnose coverages and distribute from the pocket. Until this coaching staff fixes the protection and establishes a consistent ground threat, swapping QBs is just moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

Iβve watched my team win four Lombardis. You watch yours on the History Channel. Donβt explain βchampionsβ to me.
Went from βheβs on the upβ to βnot so fastβ to βthis was a bust.β
Hell of a night. Imagine Michael Scott reading this π
