The ideal CFP is to have the SEC / Big 10 select a champion and that team play the non SEC / Big 10 champion. Each side can decide the best way to select their champion.

this new trend of cities, police, governments etc all having to turn off comments on X is amazing.
they keep getting ratioed and running away so they shut off comments in a full-on admission that they cannot participate in or survive the public square.
and yet they feel they cannot leave because this is the public square.
it's glorious.
they are trapped between a zeitgeist turning against them and irrelevance.
let's lean in to both.
"meme them until they cry, then make memes about them crying."
In the past 3 years the PJM electricity rate has increased 60% all while the cost of natural gas is unchanged. High electricity costs are a GOVERNMENT POLICY. Why won't politicians change the policy? @iamwesmoore

academia has devolved past self-parody and into self-abnegation.
the positions this professor attests to be shaking with fear to speak have been, for decades, central canon for a movement rooted in relentless struggle session indoctrination and the cancel culture suppression of all opposing viewpoints.
to act as though esposuing this is somehow edgy or brave or risky or even original is absurd.
she is the oppressive institutionalized academic mainstream once more proclaiming itself the victim and mistaking its own misanthropic anxiety for danger.
she is, quite literally, everything she purports to hate. her accusations are confessions of guilt.
their whole brand appears to be the histrionic projection of miscalibration.
past a certain point, this is not even politics;
it's performative theater kid persecution fantasy.
Lmao. Just incredible footage of these utterly feminized broken academics at Cornell via @mtracey . In this clip, Justine Modica, an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, states that she is personally “paralyzed by fear,” adding: “I am so afraid to speak, I am shaking.” 🤡

i call you a utopian rube who understands neither power nor governance nor liberty.
you think you can just make rules and everyone will play along and that all people are the same and want the kind of things you want and will not just take advantage of your systems to prey upon your empathy and lack of discernment.
there is no international rules based order. who will enforce it? countries. with armies.
see the problem?
the international orgs like the EU and UN are clownshow parodies of rule of law and free trade and free markets.
they are the antithesis of what you claim to want.
democracy is a desperately stupid form of government. even mentioning it as a value is self-indictment as being unserious. it's just tyranny of the majority. you've mistaken where liberty comes from.
you seem like a devotee of "montesori playgroup with a wise teacher looking on" view of international order.
that's just suicidal empathy with a side order of delusion.
high trust systems are made and preserved by people, not rulesets and schoolmarm scolding.

Call me a globalist if you will. I stand for an international rules-based order, democracy, civil rights, the rule of law, free markets, and free trade. I believe that narrow nationalist, nativist, and populist thinking have led to wars, repression, and subjugation.
And I believe that we will come out of this nightmare world that the demagogues and tyrants are trying to build for us.
And yes, for the purists out there, "globalism" is ambiguous; liberal internationalism would be more appropriate. But I will be called a globalist anyway, so why not reclaim that word?
Fake news from the NY Times. The Big 12 is saying the play should have been reviewed. It is not saying there should have been an extra second. nytimes.com/athletic/7700125…
"the play was incorrectly cleared by the replay officiating crew" IOW, the process was not followed. However, the play took 4+ seconds and a review would have confirmed time had expired. Thanks for nothing @Big12Conference & NY Times.

🚨 MARYLAND RANKS AMONG TOP 5 STATES FOR BIRTHS TO FOREIGN-BORN MOTHERS
Maryland ranks 5th nationally, according to a circulating map showing the percentage of births to foreign-born mothers from January–July 2026.
▪️ NEW YORK: 45.4%
▪️ NEW JERSEY: 36.6%
▪️ MASSACHUSETTS: 35.6%
▪️ FLORIDA: 34.5%
▪️ MARYLAND: 32.4%
The map puts Maryland 9.4 percentage points above the national average of 23%.
The figures describe mothers’ birthplaces, not immigration status. They include naturalized citizens and lawful immigrants.
Maryland’s ranking raises questions about how the state’s changing demographics will shape future demands for housing, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Important: The map’s January–July 2026 percentages have not been independently confirmed against official birth records.

Palmer Luckey explains why China is advancing so rapidly in technology and why the United States is struggling to keep up 🇺🇸🇨🇳
“The reason China is doing so well with advanced technology isn’t that they have a lot of people. It’s that they made a series of decisions that make high-tech companies much faster and much more effective.
They have very low-cost energy. You can complain about all of their coal plants, but the net output is that they have a very, very low cost of energy.
You have a really favorable labor environment. You have a very favorable logistics and supply chain world. You have very favorable laws regarding the extraction and processing of metals, minerals, and rare earths.
People ask me, ‘Palmer, what can we do to catch up with China?’
I say, ‘We need way more energy. We’re probably going to need to burn a lot more fossil fuels, and we’re probably going to need to relax labor laws.’
And they say, ‘I want to catch up with China, but I don’t want to do any of the things they’re doing to lead.’
You have to make a choice at some point. It’s not really possible to say, ‘I want to win, but I’m not willing to do anything to do that.’”

A guy's flight got canceled at 11 PM.
The airline handed him a $12 food voucher, pointed to the terminal floor, and said they were sorry.
A former airline gate agent who worked at Delta for 7 years walked over to him and said:
"You are legally entitled to a free hotel room, free transportation to that hotel, and a full cash refund. They just aren't legally required to tell you that unless you say the exact right words."
Every year, airlines save billions by handing out useless vouchers to stranded passengers who don't know their rights.
Here are the US Department of Transportation (DOT) rules airlines pray you never read: 🧵
