Yesterday, I joined the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun; the Majority Leader, Hon. Babajide Kofoworola; Hon. Wale Akerele; Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi and other lawmakers at the CityBoy Movement headquarters in Abuja.
Hosted by Seyi Tinubu, Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande and the Movement’s leadership, the meeting focused on strengthening political alliances, promoting unity, and fostering strategic collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Together, we will consolidate our alliances and strengthen our collective resolve for 2027.

I mourn the passing of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, a patriarch of the Yoruba nation, revered Afenifere leader and elder statesman, who answered the call to glory at 100.
From childhood through young adulthood, Pa Fasoranti remained an ideological inspiration to me, exemplifying selfless leadership, courage and commitment to the Yoruba nation and a developed Nigeria.
His legacy of service, justice and nation-building will continue to inspire generations.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, Afenifere and the entire Yoruba nation. May God grant all who mourn him the fortitude to bear this loss.
Yesterday, I received the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Osun State, from Mr. Yakubu, who visited me to formally inform me about the 2026 Osun Bankers Games.
Games underscore the important connection between sports and banking, particularly the shared values of teamwork, discipline, strategic thinking, and excellence. Just as success in banking requires collaboration, trust and sound judgement, sporting activities promote unity, resilience and healthy competition.

On Friday, 25th September, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in partnership with my office as Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, organised a free medical outreach in Akinlalu, Ife North, benefiting over 200 residents. The outreach provided malaria testing, blood glucose checks, Hepatitis B and C screening, medical consultations and free medications.
I sincerely appreciate the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr. Ekeng Ita Kubiangha, and his team for bringing essential healthcare services closer to our people. I also appreciate the Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, Oba Oluwabusola Oloyede Aborisade, his chiefs and other community leaders for their support and participation.
The outreach was attended by political leaders, government officials, community leaders and other stakeholders from Ife North.
The wellbeing of our people remains a priority, and I remain committed to supporting initiatives that make a direct and positive impact on the lives of residents across Ife North.
Nigeria at 66: Better Days Ahead
I warmly congratulate Nigerians on the occasion of our 66th Independence Anniversary and the beginning of a new month.

Yesterday, I represented the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun, at the 21st Annual Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Service of CCC Jerusalem Cathedral, Alarin, Oke-Odo, Inisa.
Themed “Harvest of Blessing,” the service was an opportunity to thank God for His faithfulness, the peaceful conclusion of the Osun State Governorship Election, and to pray for continued peace and prosperity in our state.
I attended alongside Hon. Biola Awoyeye of Ife Central, Hon. Mayowa Anjorin, Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Aderibigbe Abdulrasheed Kayode, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Adewale Adeyinka, Chairman Odo Otin, Hon. Aina Abayomi, Chairman Boluwaduro and other dignitaries and royal fathers.
I conveyed the Speaker’s warm greetings to the church and joined the congregation in thanksgiving and prayers for Osun State.
We extend warm felicitations to His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, CFR, and the good people of Ile-Ife on the occasion of this year’s Olojo Festival.
