The good old English and Math curriculum was replaced by the National Standards that included the failing numeracy and literacy standards and tests. National created the mess that they want to eliminate today.

Today @NZStuff revealed that OIA requests show the government instructed oncologists NOT to place patients into a free early access programme for cancer drug Keytruda.
They also revealed the PM's claims that his government had worked for months on cancer drug policy were false.

I just put it to you, Karen Chour is doing an excellent job of following my playbook, which clearly states a racist reckon is always preferable to the facts. And if you're caught out, never admit it, cry for the cameras, say you're being bullied & take a sicky.
This is dangerous and uncalled for. Insulting teachers and students alike. Why does this government make ad hoc decisions? We know that we have to raise Numeracy and Lit levels but doing it in this way is harmful for everyone. This is a repeat of what National did years ago when they implemented National Standards. Many students were told overnight that they were under performing and it set so many students back. It was a cruel thing to do back then and we are here again with National.
What I'd just say to you is, yes we made up bogus stats based on a curriculum we haven't even instituted or tested & didn't tell you but research has proven that this is the best way to create societal panic & usher in for profit charter schools.
