I’ve had a constructive meeting in Belfast tonight with @HMcEntee as efforts continue to find an agreed way forward on Drumcree. Once again I am grateful to everyone who has offered their help and engaged in frank and open dialogue. 1/2

Once again the broader context of shared EU membership as a way of equalising & improving UK/Ireland relations seems something taken for granted by too many in the pre - Brexit years. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

Realised when walking around the Fleadh: Belfast has a median age of 36, which means that the majority of the population has no memory of what Belfast was like before the 1994 ceasefires.

Refusing, for decades, to rationalise services because of local objections is why Northern Ireland’s health service is close to collapse. If a new UUP minister gives into this, it'll be another year wasted.

I understand that Stormont officials are making the case that the UK govt has interpreted the Windsor Framework too cautiously & that an electricity VAT cut is in fact possible for NI.
