Delhi: At the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National AI Awards, Ambassador of Ireland to India Kevin Kelly says, “But most importantly, I think the reason why I'm very happy to be here is that Ireland, even though we're a very small country, and you could fit our entire population into a suburb of Delhi, we have a long and proud history with this country. In terms of our shared history, our shared colonial experience, and our shared quest to be modern democratic countries. So, it's a really great pleasure for me to have been invited to speak to this inaugural session. And in fact, it's an opportunity for me to build on an engagement by our own Minister for AI, who was in Delhi here earlier this year and spoke at the AI Impact Summit... I hope that over the coming weeks, months, and years, little Ireland and great India can work closely together to answer these questions and to collaborate on a whole range of areas related to AI.”
Ambassador Kevin Kelly delivered the keynote address at the Global AI Summit & CII National AI Awards in Delhi today.
Together with India, Ireland is ready to build innovative, ethical and trustworthy AI for everyone.
Congrats to all the award winners!🏆

Saltaire taught old Irish songs to students in Kolkata, learnt from musicians at Ziro, jammed & even tried silkworms and grasshoppers.
At every stop, the musicians found unexpected points of connection between Irish & Indian musical traditions.
