There’s a lot going on in this video for sure. But my favorite part was Steph Curry chest bumping Will Richard and Al Horford back to back 🐊
Walter Clayton Jr. was roommates with Jack May at Florida.
Jack, the son of head coach Dusty May, is a staffer on the Mavericks - you can see him rebounding here.
Now they reunite in Dallas.
Walter Clayton Jr. is on the floor fresh off signing a two-way with the Mavs.
Dusty May on his prior relationship with the No. 18 pick from the 2025 NBA draft:
“He unofficially visited us at FAU so I’ve known him for a long time and then he was my son’s roommate at Florida, so very familiar with Walt.”
First time I’ve seen this in the NBA! ESPN is putting headsets on players on the bench for mid-game interviews. What do you think?
Let’s go!!!!
Walt will now be on the same team as Cooper Flagg. Two of the best players from the 2025 college basketball season on the SAME team… that’s unfair! And he joins the same backcourt as Kyrie Irving 😱
Not to mention he’ll be coached by Dusty May 🔥
Keep sleeping!! It’s just more motivation!!🐊

I got chills and I'm not even at Madison Square Garden. The banner raising. The intros. LeBron James' debut as a 76er. A ton of buzz in NYC tonight! And the start of a new NBA season.

Florida Gators women’s basketball has received 3 votes in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
A promising sign before Year 1 of the Tammi Reiss era even tips off.
Some things Todd Golden mentioned postgame that stuck out to me:
-Golden said the overall ball movement was stagnant. They were unable to go side-to-side, which is something they do very well with usually.
-Golden said he was very upset with the pace they played with today. "We got to handle switching a little better."
-Golden said "I need to do a better job calling plays." He mentioned specifically dealing with the double-teams and getting the ball down/inside to Condon and Chinyelu.
-Golden said he isn't worried about the Stetson exhibition based on today's result. "Baylor is a more athletic and bigger, stronger team. Some of that bothered us today."
-Golden said Urban Klavzar had really good looks but wasn't able to capitalize today. The Gators bench as a whole went 1-for-14. Golden said the effort was in the right place, but they got to make shots.
-And the obvious: Golden said "I would prefer to teach after a win than a loss."

Gators head coach Todd Golden on Denzel Aberdeen going 3-for-17, despite forcing overtime with a game-tying shot:
"He needs to do better. It was his first game back, I'm sure there were a lot of emotions for him. He'll play better moving forward."
