Been in a hole but it was worth it because I finally finished this piece on black figure painters for @artsy. Thanks @caseyless for the edits.artsy.net/article/artsy-edit…
This month, I wrote about 29 emerging Black artists for @artsy . I’m glad that I had the opportunity to write about creators working in different media, like painting, photography, textiles, and sculpture

I received an invite from the Biden administration for a Diwali event being held by the VP on nov 8. I decline any invitation from an institution that supports the collective punishment of a trapped civilian population—50% of whom are children.
I will have this work on view today, August 26, at the pavilion in Mgsn. McGolrick Park from 2-4 pm 💕✨excited that this piece is the first that I’ll have displayed outside. Very grateful to St. Charles Projects for including me. Please come if you’re free today! 😊🧿

Legacy admissions are affirmative action. Period.
And every white liberal (in journalism & other industries) who has looked the other way just so their child may get that favored slot has helped pave the way for this decision.

Fun fact: This is the same Roberto Cavalli piece that Aiden teases Carrie about owning when he calls himself helping her clean out her closet
