If I could add one page to the Bitcoin whitepaper, it would say:
"Never let the promise of a better financial future make you forget the people who can get hurt along the way."
I have a complicated relationship with Web3.
I was once genuinely excited about this space. I wanted to learn, explore opportunities and build something for myself. Then I got scammed.
And honestly, it hurt.
Losing money was painful, but losing my trust was worse. I started questioning every opportunity, doubting people and wondering how I had missed the signs.
Eventually, I walked away. Not because I stopped believing in Web3, but because I needed time to heal from the experience.
We talk so much about innovation, adoption and financial freedom, but rarely about the people who get hurt along the way.
I still believe in what Web3 can become. I just hope we build a space where people feel safe enough to participate without constantly fearing they'll be taken advantage of.
Because behind every wallet is a real person, and their trust matters too.

Blockchain performance depends on more than how quickly transactions are processed
It also depends on how fast information travels across the network.
when Ethereum proposes a new block, that information must reach other validators so they can verify it and participate in consensus.
but validators don’t all receive the data at the same time
Network delays can create timing differences, affecting how quickly they respond
this is where optimum comes in
As @blockchainjeff explains, Optimum uses Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) to improve how block data moves through the network.
Instead of simply forwarding individual pieces of data,
RLNC allows information to be encoded into combinations of data pieces.
these combinations can help receivers recover the original information from different pieces they receive.
Think of it like reconstructing a puzzle from different combinations of its pieces rather than waiting for one specific piece to arrive.
The goal is to reduce delays in data propagation, helping Ethereum validators receive information sooner.
in blockchain, better networking can make a meaningful difference to performance.

the FTX collapse in november 2022 is something i think the crypto space should never forget.
FTX was once one of the biggest exchanges in crypto. many people trusted the platform with their funds, until everything came crashing down.
withdrawals stopped, the exchange filed for bankruptcy, and people were left wondering what had happened to their money.
what makes this story important to me is the lesson behind it.
bitcoin was created to give people a way to transfer value without relying on a central authority.
yet, many of us still ended up trusting centralized platforms with that same responsibility.
and it makes me think:
what does financial freedom really mean if we don’t have control over our own assets?
i believe the next chapter of web3 should focus more on transparency, accountability and giving people real control.
because trust should never be built on a big name alone.
it should be something people can verify.
that’s what i’d write on page 10.
