I had a good call with my friend, Cyprus Foreign Minister @ckombos.
We discussed the Turkish-Libyan maritime boundary agreement, which undermines the rights and interests of several countries in the Eastern Mediterranean.
We also discussed bilateral relations between Israel and Cyprus, as well as Israel’s relations with the European Union.
I will continue working to strengthen the close ties between Israel and Cyprus!

Marking the 66th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Cyprus, our Embassy brought together officials, diplomats and friends of Cyprus at a reception in Tel Aviv on 20 October. 🇨🇾🇮🇱
In his video message, President Isaac Herzog highlighted the special relationship between Cyprus and Israel.
“Our strategic partnership is built on shared values, converging interests and a relationship of trust.”
Ambassador Korneliou emphasised, highlighting practical cooperation connecting our societies and economies. He also recalled President Herzog’s third visit to Cyprus in September as a reaffirmation of our growing ties.
The Ambassador renewed the call for a reunited, peaceful and prosperous Cyprus: “Cyprus is too small to remain divided, but it is big enough for Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots to live together in peace.”
Representing the Israeli Government, Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli stated: “We are neighbors by geography and allies by choice.” He stressed our partnership’s contribution to security and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean.
A rare coin from ancient Salamis in Cyprus, recently discovered near Ashdod, offered a reminder of the maritime and commercial ties connecting our lands some 2,500 years ago.

The Prime Minister's Office:
ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE.
We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence.
Here is what we know:
- The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence.
- The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal.
- Published footage shows masked individuals confronting a diplomatic vehicle. Separate images show a smashed window and a person lying on the ground. These images alone do not establish the complete sequence of events or individual responsibility. Those circumstances remain under investigation.
- Israeli police and forensic investigators have launched an investigation to establish the facts and identify those responsible.
These reports come amid concerns about a coordinated campaign to smear Israel and the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria during the annual olive harvest, relying on sensational headlines before the full facts emerge.
We may see further allegations in the coming days. By the time the evidence is fully examined, the reputational damage from premature conclusions may already be done.
We call on the public and responsible journalists to demand verifiable evidence, reject hearsay, and refuse to turn unproven allegations into a collective indictment of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.

I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday.
As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh.
I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through.
The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel.
Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings.
All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law.
On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.

I strongly condemn the severe acts of violence by Israeli rioters in the area of Taybeh.
A police investigation has been opened, and forensic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District are already at the scene collecting evidence.
The Foreign Ministry is in contact with the ambassadors of the countries concerned in order to assist the law enforcement authorities, who are working to identify the attackers and bring them to justice.
Without detracting from the severity of the incident, it is unfortunate that the visit was not coordinated with the IDF in advance. Such coordination could have helped safeguard the visitors’ security.

To Israel Allies Foundation είναι ένας διεθνής, πολιτικός και διπλωματικός οργανισμός, ο οποίος έχει ως κύριο σκοπό την ενίσχυση των σχέσεων διαφόρων κρατών με το Ισραήλ. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, το Israel Allies Foundation συνεργάζεται ήδη με ομάδες πρωτοβουλίας βουλευτών σε 67 κοινοβούλια παγκοσμίως, περιλαμβανομένων 25 κοινοβουλίων της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου και της Κοινοβουλευτικής Συνέλευσης του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης.
