Back in 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto introduced a new way of thinking about money and digital payments.
Nine pages laid out the idea of a peer-to-peer electronic cash system, one that could allow people to transfer value without depending on traditional financial intermediaries.
And then the whitepaper ended.
But the story didn't.
Over the years, people built on that idea.
New networks emerged, wallets became easier to access, exchanges grew, and an entire ecosystem developed around digital assets.
But here's something I've come to realise through my own experience:
Creating a way to own and transfer digital value is one thing. Making that value useful in everyday life is another.
Let me give you a personal example.
There was a time I needed some cash.
Instead of going through the usual process of searching for a P2P vendor, negotiating rates, and hoping everything went smoothly, I decided to use Sancus_african.
I made a deposit, waited for it to reflect in my wallet, and then withdrew the funds directly to my bank account.
That might sound like an ordinary transaction, but it made me appreciate something important.
What good is financial innovation if people still struggle to connect their digital assets with the things they need in everyday life?
That experience strengthened my belief that the future of crypto shouldn't be measured only by how many tokens exist, how many transactions a network processes, or how many people hold digital assets.
It should also be measured by how easily people can put those assets to use.
So, if I had the opportunity to write on Bitcoin's Page 10, this is what I'd write:

With the U.S. midterm elections approaching, investors are watching closely. The outcome could influence several key sectors, including equities, crypto, energy, and the broader global economy.
Prediction markets currently place Democratsโ chances of gaining control of both the House and Senate at around 70%.
Three key areas deserve particular attention:

Primusโs latest collaboration with @CournotProtocol gives us another interesting perspective on why privacy and verification matter in onchain finance.
One challenge with bringing more financial activity onchain is that institutions need to prove certain information is authentic without making every sensitive detail public.
Think about financial records, external data and information used to support important decisions.
Simply making information public isnโt always the answer. But asking people to trust information without a way to verify it isnโt ideal either.
This is where @primus_labs is building.
Through zkTLS, applications can verify the authenticity of off-chain web data while preserving user privacy.
Its latest collaboration with Cournot explores bringing verifiable web evidence to prediction markets.
The announcement also mentions exploring possibilities around private credit and onchain finance.
I find these directions interesting because they highlight a bigger need in institutional finance: information that can be trusted and verified, without unnecessary exposure of sensitive data.
Privacy and verification shouldnโt have to work against each other.

In crypto, thereโs a big difference between an exchange saying your funds are safe and being able to prove what it actually holds.
The FTX collapse in 2022 made that difference impossible to ignore.
Customers trusted the exchange with their assets, but when it filed for bankruptcy, many were left unable to access their funds.
It raised a question the industry still needs to answer:
How can we verify what an institution holds without simply taking its word for it?
This is where Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) comes in.
Instead of relying on promises, institutions can provide verifiable evidence of the assets they hold.
But thereโs another challenge.
Financial institutions may need to prove their reserves without exposing sensitive account balances or other private financial information.
Thatโs where @primus_labs comes in.
Primus is building a Proof-of-Reserves solution that combines on-chain and off-chain financial data to help institutions verify their reserves while protecting sensitive information.
Using zkTLS and verifiable computation, it can authenticate data from external sources and calculate reserve totals without making every underlying detail public.
Why does this matter?
Because transparency shouldnโt require institutions to expose everything about their financial operations.
One important distinction: Proof-of-Reserves doesnโt automatically account for every liability or guarantee that an institution is financially healthy. It helps verify the assets being reported, but it isnโt a complete picture of solvency.
As institutional finance moves on-chain, being able to prove whatโs held while protecting whatโs private could make a real difference.

Cloudflare blocked an average of more than 8,200 network-layer DDoS attacks every hour during the third quarter of 2026, showing how attackers are using frequent, short bursts to disrupt online services rather than relying only on record-breaking traffic floods. The hourly figure reflects attacks detected across Cloudflare's network, not a complete worldwide total.
Its systems filtered 272.6 petabytes of network-layer traffic and another 95.1 petabytes of HTTP attack traffic. Network-layer attack numbers increased 208% compared with the same quarter in 2025.
About 96% ended within ten minutes, while 98% stayed below one gigabit per second. That traffic can still overwhelm a website or server without enough protection.
