Why are fully on-chain pieces smaller in file size?
Since the image is minted directly onto the blockchain, it takes a lot of gas to put every single kB.
The trick then is to keep the image with enough visual information to keep it perceptible, yet small enough that it doesn't drain your wallet of Eth.
Remember when FND closed and everyone scrambled to safeguard everything?
I didn't fret for my my fully on-chain pieces.
Why?
They are minted directly onto the eth blockchain and are not dependent on any marketplace.
While some are listed on SuperRare, it's just a means to list.
