Instant classic from The Ripper. People need to remember that LL is one of the illest.
He has many gems 💎 in his catalog.

Last week. Start-to-finish. This is an all-time favorite for me. Second album from the Mobb is an instant classic. Those Loud collabs during this period took things next level. No sophomore jinx here. Just press play.

Summer of '92... watching footage from the Guns N Roses-Metallica tour... watching the Dream Team dominate, eating these value meals and collecting the cups, and listening to Pete Rock & CL Smooth's Mecca and the Soul Brother album while rocking the USA Basketball replica jerseys

Norm was in a class by himself.
Norm Macdonald was fired from Weekend Update in 1997 after NBC executives decided he wasn’t funny. A year and a half later they asked him to host the show. He didn’t open with gratitude or a comeback story. He opened with a logical problem: How does someone go from “not funny enough to be allowed in the building” to “funny enough to host” in eighteen months? The monologue that follows treats the invitation itself as the setup.

27 years ago today, MF DOOM's "Operation: Doomsday" was released. MF DOOM’s debut solo album, and the one that established the masked persona. Dense internal rhymes over dusty, sample-heavy beats, with a comic-book frame around the whole thing
