Unai Emery in advanced talks over new Aston Villa deal in blow to Man Utd #avfc
This has always felt like how it would turn out and what a boost for Villa. Best manager in the Premier League IMO

Sky Sports will spin this as Villa being afraid that Emery wants to go to Utd….
🚨 Aston Villa confirm that Unai Emery held discussions today with Nassef Sawiris, alongside Damian Vidagany and Roberto Olabe, to jointly map out the club's long-term direction. Crucially, the discussions involved "establishing a clear commitment beyond 2029" - the year Emery's current contract is due to expire.

Not just this game but overall I think we really miss a passer of the ball in our midfield, also think Mbaye should be getting a lot more minutes than he’s been getting of late, always looks dangerous
Don’t know what’s been worse tonight, McGinn & Buendias performances or the disgraceful commentary by Fletch & Coisty
Do us a favour and tell Sky Sports this mate
“I've had no suggestion that this would be a realistic prospect mid-season.
“As far as I'm concerned, Unai Emery is Aston Villa's coach and if Manchester United want to make a change they will have to look elsewhere.”
@David_Ornstein on Manchester United’s admiration of “the king of Villa Park” Unai Emery, who would be unlikely to succeed Michael Carrick if he was to soon depart Old Trafford.

Yamal against Maatsen could be a massacre tonight, needs disciplined help out there, let’s hope Buendia can do that
Got to get Manzambi in the 10 tonight, his ball carrying ability centrally could really get us up the pitch, I’d go Mbaye on the left too with McGinn back in his best position against the better teams
