Breakthrough T1D REAL ESTATE GAMES (JDRF)

🏀⛳🧩 Spinning, shooting, solving, swimming, and supporting a great cause! SK&A returned to @TheStJames for the 2026 @JDRFREGames T1D Real Estate Games, joining AEC and real estate professionals from across the region for a high-energy day of friendly competition in support of type 1 diabetes research. Our team competed in basketball, scavenger hunt, cornhole, team spin, pickleball, Puzzle Me This, swimming, golf challenges, and Punt, Pass & Kick. A few highlights from the day: 🏆 Catherine Pastoor placed 3rd in Punt, Pass & Kick 🏀 Our 3-on-3 basketball team won 4 of their 6 games Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered, organized, and helped make this another fun and meaningful event for Breakthrough T1D. SK&A was honored to join hundreds of other AEC professionals from the Mid-Atlantic region to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research by competing in the 2024 @BreakthroughT1D Real Estate Games (formerly JDRF). Since its founding in 1990, these events have raised over $15 million for diabetes research! This year’s games alone have raised over $600,000 thus far. The 2024 Games took place at @TheStJames in Springfield, Virginia. SK&A staff competed in a variety of events including the Scavenger Hunt, Tower Power Jenga, Corn Hole, Golf, Pickleball, the Ropes Course, Volleyball, “Punt, Pass, and Kick,” Basketball, and “Puzzle Me This” (a jigsaw puzzle-solving race!)
