She told Blanche the president was admitting it's political, and she asked him straight out whether he sees his job as helping Republicans keep the seat. Blanche didn't have an answer. He snapped back that Trump wasn't admitting anything and that the president is supposed to make sure everything in the country is running right. So Bash widened the lens. She reminded him that just a couple of days earlier, Blanche himself had used the phrase doomsday scenario. Then she asked the question out loud: are Trump and the Justice Department laying the groundwork for a scenario in which Trump tries to overturn the election, with a result that could look like what the country saw after January 6th?
