Exciting day! I’m thrilled to share "The Awakening," the first novella in the "Chronicles of the Veiled Lands." This project, born from my passion for fantasy and storytelling, symbolizes the power of pursuing dreams. 📚✨
Not a pro writer, just a dreamer who took a leap. If you've ever doubted if you could, this is your sign to start. Thank you for supporting this journey of creation and self-discovery!

Everyone this week is pointing Claude Code at their smart TV to strip the ads and bloat. ADB over Wi-Fi, disable the junk, install a clean launcher. Love it.
I went the other direction. Instead of making a smart TV dumb, I used Claude to make a dumb one smart. A 2016 set off an office wall, and no ADB to lean on. Here is what that took in one day.
This TV has no app store, no ADB, no way to sideload anything, so the viral playbook does not apply. Everyone's answer is "cast a video to it." We tried that first: film a web page on a server, stream it as HLS, play it on the TV. It stalled every few minutes on the TV's Wi-Fi.
Then Claude dug through the TV's own control API (the one its phone app uses) and found it will open any URL in the TV's built-in browser. Chrome 72, 1280x720, no dev tools, no console. So the page reports back to a server with beacons: loaded, refreshed, script error, audio playing. That is the only way to debug a browser you cannot see into.
Audio was the hard part. The browser said "playing" every time, but the speakers disagreed. I listened, Claude read the beacons, and three fixes stacked up: the page proxy had to pass nested paths, every sound now plays on a fresh audio element from an in-memory copy (replaying the same element got shorter each time), and a silent loop keeps the TV's audio hardware awake so it stops swallowing the first second of a clip.
On top of that: a soundboard where any mp3 dropped in a folder becomes a button, a PC on the same LAN that re-opens the page if anyone changes the input, and the TV powers itself off at 7 pm and on at 6 am through the same API.
So yes, use Claude to debloat your TV. But the same tool will also take a ten-year-old set with no ADB and turn it into a live wall display with sound, if you let it read the API docs and you do the listening. One old TV, a browser nobody knew it had, and a day of me and Claude reading beacons.

Ran five AI coding agents at once the other week and kept losing track of which one actually needed me.
So I built CLIque. All your agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok, Antigravity) in one browser tab. Check them from your phone, see which one's stuck, pick any of them back up right where it left off.
Free, runs on your own machine, installs in one line.
pip install clique-panel

Wow this hit 100% dead center... Oof.

LAYOFFS IN 2026:
GET LAID OFF
You join a normal meeting and leave without a job.
Years of loyalty can disappear in a 10-minute video call.
GO HOME
Except home is where you were already working when you got laid off.
You close the company laptop and suddenly realize you have nowhere to log in tomorrow.
WATCH YOUR MENTAL HEALTH DECLINE
At first, you tell yourself you'll find something quickly.
Months of rejection can turn confidence into anxiety, isolation, and hopelessness.
PUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP UNDER PRESSURE
Bills don't stop because your income stopped.
Financial stress starts affecting relationships that had nothing to do with your job.
APPLY FOR HUNDREDS OF JOBS
Job hunting becomes your new full-time job.
You send hundreds of applications and still wake up to automated rejections.
GET REJECTED BY EVERYONE
Recruiters stop replying. Friends stop asking how the search is going.
Even family gatherings become uncomfortable because everyone asks the same question.
START BORROWING MONEY
Savings disappear faster than expected, but rent, food, and bills remain.
Eventually, asking people for help becomes less embarrassing than having nothing.
LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS
You stop searching for the perfect role and start searching for anything that pays.
Salary expectations, job titles, and career progression become secondary to survival.
WATCH YOUR CAREER SLIP AWAY
The longer you're unemployed, the harder it can feel to explain the growing résumé gap.
A layoff that wasn't your decision starts feeling like something you're being punished for.
WATCH THE COMPANY MOVE ON
Your replacement may be cheaper, your responsibilities redistributed, and your position forgotten.
Meanwhile, you're still rebuilding the life that one corporate decision disrupted.
This started as a tab I kept meaning to read and never did.
Now it's seven cards a day, plain English, that keep me from feeling behind on AI. Still building in the open. If "always a little behind on AI" is you, it was me too. Come try it.

If you read one job-hunt post today, make it a referral.
I'm looking for forward-deployed / solutions / AI strategy roles, or senior creator marketing at an AI-native startup. I ship real systems and I can sell them too.

Honest report after a couple months building this in public:
It does what I needed. 5 min a day, plain English, and the "permanently behind on AI" feeling fades. Small and consistent beats big and rare. You weren't behind, just drinking from a firehose.

A lot of AI explainers are secretly performing for other experts.
My one stubborn rule: if a card uses a term, it defines it right there. No looking things up mid-card. Plain English isn't dumbed down, it's just not showing off.

Eight months into a job search after a layoff. Some days are great, some are a grind. Building things has kept me sane and kept me sharp.
Still looking: forward-deployed / solutions / AI strategy, or senior creator marketing. A boost goes a long way.

"How do you know the AI news cards aren't made up?"
Fair question. Anything time-sensitive is grounded in live web search with a real source link, and the link has to resolve or the card doesn't ship. Tap through and check it yourself.

Shipped in 6 months by directing AI agents, none hand-coded by me:
- a 467K-record CRM that scores and ranks on its own
- a health app with browser-side encryption
- an MCP server giving Claude 10 real tools
I'm after forward-deployed work.

The problem usually isn't interest in AI. It's that you're spent by the time you'd sit down to learn.
So make it ride along. Listen mode plays your cards on the walk, the dishes, the pickup wait. Tags along with time you already spend.

Quietest way to help someone job hunting: forward their post to one person.
I'm after forward-deployed / solutions / AI strategy roles, or senior creator marketing at an AI-native company. Bay Area or remote.
Who comes to mind?
itsjustin.me/
A few months in: I'm not fluent in AI and not trying to be.
But the hum of being behind went quiet. 5 min a day kept up beat the 4-hour binge I'd do once and never repeat. You don't have to win the race. Just stop starting from zero.

My favorite feature is the dumbest one.
Morning after your cards, the app asks one question about something from yesterday. Just one. Ten seconds. Turns out remembering it a day later is most of what makes it stick.
