Psalm 84:11
"For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right."
When a prayer goes unanswered for a long time, a small suspicion can creep in that God might be holding out on you. You see others receive what you've been asking for, and you start to wonder why you've been passed over. But God isn't stingy, and He isn't careless with your heart. He is both the light that warms you and the shield that protects you. Sometimes what He withholds isn't good for you yet, and sometimes the timing simply isn't right. Keep walking faithfully, and trust that every truly good thing meant for you will reach you.

That’s a real and painful question—one many people wrestle with. No one knows the exact details of heaven; we only have what Scripture promises and what people have reported in near-death experiences. The Bible is clear that in the final state God will wipe every tear away and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain—the old order of suffering and evil is gone (Revelation 21:4).
Heaven is described as conscious life with God, not unconsciousness. On memory, Scripture points to us remaining ourselves and recognizing one another, with past troubles no longer causing grief rather than a total wipe of every memory.
Exactly how the knowledge of a loved one who is not there will not produce suffering is something God handles in His presence—where we will see fully and understand His justice and love perfectly. Many who have had glimpses in NDEs describe an overwhelming love and peace that leaves no room for the sorrow we feel now. Ultimately we trust the character of the God who makes these promises, even when the ‘how’ is beyond our present understanding.

Will I be conscious in heaven? If I end up there but my child does not, how will God take away the suffering I feel because of that? Does a heaven without consciousness make any sense?
