🎉 Happy birthday to us! On this day in 1970, the PSI was founded. Our very first AGM was held at the Mater Hospital, chaired by founding member Mr. James McLoone. Here’s to 55 years of advocating for psychology in Ireland—and to many more!

This week, PSI representatives Dr Damien Lowry (President), Dr Dean McDonnell (International Liason Officer), Dr John Francis Leader (Honorary Secretary) attended the @EFPA_EuroPsy Council Meetings in Brussels. The PSI was honoured to attend “An Integrated Approach to Mental Health: Priorities for the European Parliament Intergroup on Mental Health”, an event hosted by MEP Maria Walsh at @Europarl_EN. The meetings were a great opportunity to facilitate connections with European partners in psychology, identify strategic priorities for the Intergroup on Mental Health, and support EFPA’s efforts on the EU stage. Special thanks to @MariaWalshEU for being so willing to engage with the PSI and all other psychologists’ associations. We look forward to working with all stakeholders in the future.
