For those not able to make it to campus for Alumni Weekend or future return-to-campus event, yes my Stanford Football history book is available on Amazon, in addition to being available at the Stanford Bookstore. Same thing with my Stanford Basketball history book. Go Cardinal!
As the powers that be are aware, I promote our fine sponsors on air with energy and care…..thanks for the SiriusXM (or YouTube) drop-in!

the fact Ebuka Okorie didn’t even play until 10 min into the 4Q and:
- immediately hit a 3 when he came in
- 2 easy layups coming off PnR and the finish through traffic
- game winning bucket - up and under finish
at stanford, almost NONE of his shots, let alone 3s were assisted. he’s a master at getting to the tim and create his own shot.
also is just stone cold, nothing really phases him
ebuka okorie just plays in a flow state
5-star then, 5-star now. Can't think of a more ideal person to assume GM duties. Will embrace the challenges, reveres the brand, is a big picture/big tent thinker and will help impart wisdom & toughness to individual players. Bravo to Coach Smith for bringing this to fruition.
Exciting hire, better teammate.

Two former @GoStanford all conference honorees—separated by 30 years—with a first-ever meeting and photo op in the dugout: @StanfordMBB’s Okorie, the newly-minted Pistons first rounder, and Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch, who finished his decorated @StanfordBSB career in 1996.
President of Basketball Ops Langdon (Palo Alto born, recruited by Stanford) and head coach Bickerstaff (Oregon State) knew @StanfordMBB had a future NBA gem.
Another rare guard pair--Cade and Ebuka--teed up in Detroit, on the heels of Bing/Walker, Isiah/Dumars and Rip/Billups.
Bing and Walker…..Isaih and Dumars…..Rip and Billups…..Cade and Okorie. Seven NBA all star-level talents in the preceding sentence, and don’t bet against Ebuka becoming the eighth.
Pistons could soon be getting busy (once again) in late May and June.

A thorough and non-groupthink eval of Okorie, with a 👍 vote for selecting at #11. (iirc the GSW owner did happen to be courtside for Okorie’s 36 minute, 36 point, 9 assist, 3 rebound, 1 turnover performance in Stanford’s 95-90 win over North Carolina/Caleb Wilson/Henri Veesaar)

Yes to all of this (below).
Do I hear reports of some teams in the #20-#30 draft order slots trying to move up? Doubt those teams are trying to get to a mere #15-#19 spot. Hmm....
These defensive traits are why I've said (on air) that there's some John Stockton in his game...
As fast as he is slicing through defenses and getting downhill, Ebuka Okorie is just as dangerous hunting the ball on the other end.
His hands and instincts operate at a different speed, consistently anticipating when to strip opponents and generate turnovers (1.6 SPG). At 6’1.25” with a 6’7.75” wingspan, he does an excellent job beating ball handlers to the spot, getting his hands on the ball, and taking it right from them.
What makes it even more impactful is how quickly he turns defense into offense. The moment he forces a turnover, he’s gone—using his lightning speed in transition to create scoring opportunities.
One of the most exciting guards in this class. Blink and you’ll miss him… and probably your dribble too.

I wouldn't be surprised at all (EO cracking the top ten). For the reasons you have cited, as well as others.
Potential Top 10 pick Ebuka Okorie is a nasty offensive player.
Okorie's ability to score from all three levels and finish with either hand makes him a truly tough cover. The aspect of his game that's not getting talked about enough is his ability to really pass the ball.
Some of the clips I put together really show the touch, timing, and accuracy of his passes. His vision and anticipation are really being slept on.
As a driver, Okorie is really comfortable between the tackles like an elite running back and has real burst to pull away.
There seems to be some real smoke around Okorie cracking the top 10, and I could totally see why.

Best (meaning, the most accurate) board that I've seen. By a fair amount. Little follow-the-herd here, seems refreshingly free of agent whispers and team leaks upon which others seem to be constructed and why many show similar ordering. Sound reasoning behind this board's evals.

A delighted dad...
Nashua's Ebuka Okorie is staying in the NBA Draft, as expected.
The deadline to withdraw was midnight.
His father, Charles, on this decision:
"Nothing to prove."
"The best situation you need to put him in is to tell him 'you can't do it.'"

A delighted mom...
Ebuka Okorie's mom, Dr. Ijeoma Okorie, explains her son's early love for basketball.
He'd make multiple trips to the YMCA every day. They built a court in the backyard.
Now, he's a projected first round NBA draft pick.
