Stoked to be featured in the latest issue of @Nature for our work on stormies. These tiny ocean travelers are truly extraordinary, and I'm sure that once people discover their magic, they'll fall in love. And as we know, we protect what we love!🌊🐣 #seabirds

A great collaboration with @jocotoco_org to tag albatrosses with GPS & proximity sensors to fishing vessels at Galapagos has allowed me to learn the species and its vulnerability:
bycatch, unbalanced sex ratio and low reproductive success are just a few of the problems they face

Maddalena (TJ8101), my favourite Scopoli's shearwater, is incubating her egg for the 14th consecutive breeding season.
Since our first meeting, in 2011, she completed 13 epic migrations from Sardiania to the Gulf of Guinea covering over 260,000 km.
Nature's wonder never cease!
This is my old friend TJ8101. The first Scopoli's #shearwater I tagged in Sardinia, in 2011. Since then (12 y), she has layed her egg every year in the same nest.
She is lovely, isn't she? 🥰
