On the Legally Speaking Podcast @goclio, @RobertHanna_eth was joined by ITV Legal Advisor Holly Moore.
Holly shares her words of wisdom ✨
The last time we all met together... This Taskforce was brought together to address lack of socio-economic diversity at the top in UK Financial and Professional Services. Just two of the key outputs: @ProgressTogethr and the 'Breaking the Class Barrier Recommendations Report'.

Our 2-part TV series on class in modern Britain (and meritocracy, recruitment into elite professions, accent bias, barriers to working-class young people etc), is doing solid business on @BBCiPlayer. A lot of people getting in touch saying they feel SEEN. Thank you so much
What’s that you say? You’re really interested in social mobility, accent bias, the barriers inspirational working-class young people face… and fancy a 2-part series that follows them for a few years, which lots of people have said makes them feel SEEN? Ok.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001fyg…

Have you had a chance to listen to LegalTea podcast's interview with me?
I was asked:
❓You spent 25 years working as a solicitor – why the career pivot?
❓ Why is 'community' so important you?
❓ Your favourite dramatized legal character?

A very special @TheCLLS event organised by Patrick McCann and me, and hosted at @LinklatersLLP offices yesterday!
📢An announcement by Linklaters that the firm is launching the 6-year solicitor apprenticeship in 2023.🤝An announcement re a possible 'City collective' initiative...
This programme is SPOT ON. Self-selecting out of elitist professions due to class background upsets me (as someone who almost did that) which is why I left my 25-year legal career at a big international law firm to help City law firms introduce the solicitor apprenticeship route.
If you enjoyed Episode 1 of #HowToCrackTheClassCeiling, you don’t have to wait a week to watch Episode 2.
You can watch it on @BBCiPlayer now:

Congratulations to all law firms in the 'Top 75' of The Social Mobility Foundation Employer Index published today.
And special congrats to law firms in the Index operating solicitor apprenticeship programmes as a socio-economic diversity initiative.
#SMFIndex22 @SocialMobilityF
Thinking about entering the cross-sector Employer Index as an employer next year? Worth noting that the Index is recommended in the 'Breaking the Class Barriers Recommendations Report' (lnkd.in/eBarsGRx) published by the Socio-Economic Diversity Taskforce and @cityoflondon
Joanna Hughes Solicitor Apprenticeships is Episode 1 in the new season of LegalTea podcast!
We discuss all things Solicitor Apprenticeships, the importance of community, socio-economic diversity in law - and Legally Blonde at the @OpenAirTheatre too!

Can we add "solicitor apprenticeships advocacy" to the list of "s" things?!
Always grateful for your support Stephanie for the solicitor apprenticeship route to qualification. Thank you.
