This is laughably stupid commentary. The defense doesn't have enough good players to withstand the injuries the Jets have had this year, so they're a bad defense. Being a bad defense, your ST then are going to be bad because the backups suck. (The offense is fine.) "Culture" is having lots of good/great players, especially at high-leverage positions.
