🚨🚀 The Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin a $694 million contract to produce and field the AGM-183A Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW), moving the hypersonic boost glide missile from flight testing into production. The contract was awarded Sept. 29 and announced Oct. 26. ARRW uses a solid fuel rocket booster to exceed Mach 5, then releases a hypersonic glide vehicle to strike heavily defended targets from standoff range. Air & Space Forces Magazine reports it will initially be fielded on the B-52. Quantities and delivery dates are withheld for operational security. Ukraine is gradually creating a buffer zone of up to 100 km, pushing the Russians out of Ukrainian territory. As a result, Russia has stopped launching Kalibr missiles directly from the Black Sea. Enemy aviation remains active, but aircraft and helicopters stay at a distance of up to 100 km from the Defense Forces. The Russian Black Sea Fleet, based in Novorossiysk, has not entered the Black Sea for five months already.

Imagine France and the UK restarted Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG production in early 2023, even at a modest rate of 300 missiles per year. They would now be able to supply Ukraine with a steady stream of 20-30 missiles per month, which would make Russian defense-industrial sites 300-400 kilometers from the border untenable.
💥🚀 New footage released by local residents shows strike by eight Ukrainian Storm Shadow cruise missiles during the October 25 attack on Russia’s Energia plant in Yelets. Missiles slam into the same spot one after another, with no visible air defense response. Witnesses claim eight missiles struck the facility. Energia produces batteries for Russian missiles, aircraft, and other military equipment. Combined with the October 23 Storm Shadow strike on Proton in Oryol, the scale of these attacks suggests Ukraine may have received a substantial new shipment of the missiles.

The 1981 MOD assessment, drawn up by the Service Chiefs, about the scale of threat posed to the UK by Soviet air forces - up to 200 bombers delivering 1200 tonnes of weapons per day. It noted UK stockpiles of SAMS (Rapier & Bloodhound) would be exhausted in 3 days.

The Storm Shadows sent by the UK last week have been rapidly put to good use. The Proton plant in Oryol and the Energia plant in Yelets, which both produce missile components, were hit this week. Thank you to our UK allies for helping us cut Russian missile production.💙💛

Norway once again fails to give something a cool name Fukin, mission module.
The Kongsberg company has presented a containerized launch system for the NSM cruise missiles. The system, called the NSM Mission Module, is based on a 20-foot maritime container and can hold 4 NSM missiles, with a range of approximately 300 km and a payload of 120 kg. The use of a container allows for the creation of a discreet launch system, and it can be used in a stationary configuration, on a truck, or on a maritime platform.
